'I feel 20 years younger!': Dynasty vet George Hamilton, 76, says he'll live past 100 now that he's had his heart valve replaced
He's had a stunning career that has included the 1962 classic Light In The Piazza, a recurring role on the 1980s Joan Collins soaper Dynasty and, more recently, a turn on Dancing With The Stars.
But recently George Hamilton had to slow down to undergo serious heart surgery.
That caused the 76-year-old to reflect on his life. And after having an 'extraordinary experience' when his heart valve was replaced, he started to look at life differently, the Hollywood vet told People.

'You get a real grasp on who you've been and where you want to go,' he said of having a valve replaced in his heart.
'I'm 76 now and I've been faced with a lot of things I never thought I would face in my life, including the question of my own mortality.'
After his two-day exit from the hospital, George noted that his 'whole set of values changed.'

'Most of all, it changes the way you think about your life. It really brings home a sense to do something important and enjoy your life,' he said.
George said his surgery has him feeling '20 years younger.'
'It gives you the health to feel like, 'What am I going to do now? I've got another 30 or 40 years left,' he revealed, before adding that '...100 is going to be the new 50.'

With his new-found zest for life, it doesn't appear that the handsome star will retire anytime soon.
Currently, George can be seen in the film,The Congressman, written by author and former Democratic politician Robert J. Mrazek.
Next, he'll appear as both a hit man and Mexican Colonel in the comedy, Melvin Smarty.
