BREAKING NEWS: Disgruntled employee opens fire at Texas trucking company, killing one and injuring another before committing suicide

A disgruntled former employee stormed a Texas trucking company Wednesday morning, killing a coworker before committing suicide inside the shell-shocked office.  

KPRC reports that the incident happened at 8:45am at the Knight Transportation facility, which is located just across the street from a high school in Katy. 

The male employee reportedly entered the office armed with a shotgun and a pistol then opened fire, killing one person and injuring another before turning the gun on himself to commit suicide.

At a morning press conference, authorities say the gunman was fired that morning. He has not been identified by name.

As the shooting played out Wednesday morning, nearby Morton Ranch High School and Franz Elementary were put on lockdown. 

They are located just steps across the street from the trucking company on the 204000 block of Franz Road.
