BAFTA TV awards 2016 red carpet sees Tess Daly, Amanda Holden and Lucy Mecklenburgh sizzle

It's one of the biggest nights on the television calendar so you can guarantee that glamorous outfits will be aplenty. And the 2016 edition of the British Academy Film and Television Awards was no exception as a bevy of British beauties, including Tess Daly (second from right), Amanda Holden (centre), Caroline Flack (second from left) and Lucy Mecklenburgh (far left), Alesha DIixon (far right) and Katherine Jenkins (third from right) commanded the red carpet of the Royal Festival Hall in London in some seriously show-stopping looks. Leading the glamour was 47-year-old Tess who offset her sun-kissed skin in a white floor-length gown as she mingled with some of the biggest stars on British television. The Strictly Come Dancing presenter's alluring gown was perfect for showcasing her lithe legs with its daring thigh-high split, while it's one-shoulder design flaunted her flawless decolletage and a glimpse of her pert bust. But of course the picture perfect looks didn't end there as Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda went for an even more dramatic style that was bound to capture eyes as she posed for photographers.

The WORST dressed stars at the 62nd annual BAFTAs

VIP guests descended upon London's Royal Festival Hall for the 62nd annual TV BAFTAs on the hottest day of the year wearing a range of eye-popping ensembles - with many missing the mark entirely. Left to right: Ferne McCann went for a garish patterned maxi in clashing colours; Kate Garraway opted for an unflattering turquoise bodycon number; Caroline Flack very nearly suffered a wardrobe malfunction as her catsuit flapped away in the wind; Eleanor Tomlinson wore a murky green gown with a medieval bodice; and Fearne Cotton turned heads for all the wrong reasons in bright yellow lace.

Strictly Come Dancing, EastEnders, The Great British Bake Off and Wolf Hall turned that popularity into awards success, each claiming honours at the BAFTA TV Awards inside the Royal Festival Hall.

Luckily, Petra, James and their three young children were not at home. Two men are understood to have been caught on CCTV running away afterwards. Police are now investigating why anyone would want to attack Petra or her husband, who runs a complicated web of companies involved in gold trading. Her father, Formula 1 tycoon Bernie, 85 (right), admitted he had looked into Stunt's background and finances before Petra married the businessman in a lavish Italian ceremony in 2011, but nothing he found gave him cause for concern. Stunt, 34, took delivery of a £3.1million Lamborghini in March (inset), to add to his cavalcade of Rolls-Royce Phantoms and Bentleys. His spokesman claims the attack is 'thought to be the action of a disaffected member of the public who disapproves of the Stunt's (sic) lifestyle'.
