Dame Joan Collins goes to war over a puddle: Actress sends series of bizarre tweets to council showing her posing by water (in designer footwear, of course) outside her £5million Belgravia home

We all grumble about the state of Britain’s pot-hole riven roads, but Dame Joan Collins is taking her ‘road rage’ to extremes.

She’s complained to the highways department of her local council about a puddle outside the front door of her £5 million home in Belgravia.

The glamorous octogenarian has been taking pictures of herself posing next to the puddle – in a range of designer footwear of course – and tweeting them to Westminster Council.

‘As soon as it rains there is this puddle,’ Dame Joan told me at a signing party for her latest book, The St Tropez Lonely Hearts Club.

‘When I call a taxi I always have to tell it to drive past it so that it doesn’t go through the puddle and splash me.’

When I contacted the council to ask about Joan’s puddle woes, a weary-sounding spokesperson assured me: ‘We take all complaints seriously, including those from our famous residents.’
