Naruto ends in 5 weeks: from here and now on…

Like promised, here I come with this post about what is happening with Naruto manga, its finale and how do I believe, based on all the info we have until now and manga content, that things will go down. Grab your popcorn, a soda and take a seat cause we’ve got a looong-looong ride coming out here!

I was planning on writing this for a long time now, however, given the events that unfolded in my real life, this had to wait a bit. Some of you probably have your own ideas about what is going to happen, so mine will probably be useless, haha, but I still wanted to share. So let’s take it by turns, shall we? :)

First, I want to talk a bit about the Naruto series’ ending. Yes, Naruto is ending it 5 weeks! Naruto 699 will be our last chapter that completes the series and from here and now on… well, all we’re left with is Naruto: Shinjidai Kaimaku Purojekuto or better known to us, English speakers Naruto’s New Era Opening Project.

But what about this project? What about the manga which ends in 5 weeks? How can it all be concluded in 5 weeks? I bet these are just few of the questions that have been going through everybody’s mind, right? Well, with that being said, from here and no on let me just introduce my mojo and tell you what I believe it’s going to happen knowing Masashi Kishimoto.

So in today’s chapter, we were promised 5 more weeks until a shocking end! But how could everything be resolved in 5 more weeks if there are still so many things to tie-up, all the loosened ends, you wonder, right? Well, as I was saying, allow me to explain myself based on what we know about Masashi Kishimoto himself. So… What do we know until now about him and overall, Naruto as a series? Who and what inspired Kishi? Yup, you’ve already got that right in your mind by the time you read the answer, right?

As we all know it, Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball series was a big inspiration for Kishimoto’s Naruto and as well, Toriyama himself was to Kishi, a person whom he looked at with deep respect and not only. As Kishi said himself around interviews, he viewed Toriyama as a role-model.

Now, I’ve always said it in the debates that I’ve been having around forum boards that yes, Kishimoto’s inspiration was indeed Dragon Ball series and he uses many story elements similar to that of Toriyama’s, however, there are differences in the series’ plot itself. However, this time, what Kishi is doing is exactly what Toriyama did with Dragon Ball series as well. While Toriyama stated many times of wanting to end the series, we know that the request was so big that the studio he worked with at that time pushed him into writing more so from there on he just wrote to have something to give them and thus, all the others came, movies and such. Now, the situation is a bit similar and a bit different at the same time with Kishimoto’s work. The thing with Toriyama is that he voiced his opinion on not wanting to write the series after it ended but given the high request, oh well, we all know that part. Toriyama had it all sorted out by the manga’s end, however, as we can see from Naruto, Kishimoto still has tons of other things to cover and many loosened ends to tie.

So basically what Kishi is doing is using Toriyama’s experience in his own way. Because unlike Toriyama, Kishimoto will not have it all sorted out by the end of the manga, what he did here basically is took “advantage” of the situation and will make everyone happy: the series will go on in a way, Naruto will still be alive for some years now and Studio Pierrot still has on-going work and, why not… profit.

My guess is that thing will go basically like this: given we have only 5 weeks until the manga’s end, its end will be basically something like this:

Yes, you’ve guessed it my dears, the all well-known OVA from 2011. When at first this OVA appeared I was very intrigued because the scenario felt very canon-esque, but afterwards I found out that Kishi had something to say there as well. I mean, yes, he designed the T-Shirts that came as a gift with this, this is all the official info we’ve got, but it felt too canon-esque as I said, for Kishi to have no involvement. Years later, the latest chapters appear and that’s when I got what Kishi is doing here.

Basically, in this OVA Kishimoto spoiled Naruto’s end. Take a look at the latest chapters, see the set of them, see the set of this OVA and you’ll get your answer. Naruto and Sasuke fight in the OVA in a place that looks like it has been under a war. Well, where exactly are we placed right now in terms of special events happening in the manga? Yup, just after the end of the 4th Shinobi World War. Ironic, isn’t it? What else we saw in that OVA? Sakura arrives first noticing an apparent dead Naruto, shortly after followed by a regretful Kakashi, like he’s thinking in his mind he was late, once again… Who do we have left back in the manga currently? Ironically or not, Sakura and Kakashi.

In my opinion, the manga will end exactly like the OVA ended, the rest of the questions being answered in canonical movies from Kishimoto in partnership with Studio Pierrot. Basically, Naruto will follow Dragon Ball’s footsteps but not from the same reasons. In Naruto it happens so just because Kishimoto doesn’t have the space and time to finish the manga conclusively like he stated he will be doing, so he takes the second best plan that could follow, this way, like I earlier said, he’ll make everyone happy: himself, fans and Studio Pierrot, of course.

Why do I say that the movies will be canonical and why do I say movies in the first place? Well, as advertised, Naruto’s New Era Opening Project is a project that deals with the continuation of the original series that follows towards the future. Not only this guarantees the fact that the movies will be canon, given that it specifically mentions that is a continuation of the original series, but also the fact that they have advertised The Last: Naruto the movie, as being the first movie from this project. Which means only one thing: Kishi is going to be making a series of unknown number of movies in which he will, like he himself stated, conclusively end the manga’s story.

What will the movies contain? Hmm, well, I have a few guesses myself based on how the manga is going, all the story elements Kishi used and as well, the works Kishi inspired his series from.

Like I said in Japanese depiction of love in the media and the famous Narusaku forehead kiss scene, my guess is that this scene will be brought-up back again. If not by the manga’s end in a scenario similar to how Sakura leans over Naruto and he touches her face – here having Naruto maybe touch her forehead and commenting how beautiful it is, makes him want to kiss it-, then for sure in the movie. This is a very important scene, no matter how much shippers in the fandom don’t like it. It’s basically what started the whole romantic-subplot and the love triangle itself. You can’t just skip that, as an author.

Besides that, my guess is that in the movies, we’ll finally have NaruSaku being canon. But not just like that. IMO, Kishi will go through all the details that he skipped in every (potential) relationship that has been paralleled to NaruSaku in the series: such as how Naruto and Sakura start their relationship at some point, how their relationship evolves from a simple relationship into a full-burst married couple and why not, their life with a child and a free-war zone. Think about what failed in every relationship that has been paralleled with NaruSaku… Let’s take it on turns. Starting from the past (old shinobi era) till present (Naruto’s current generation).

1. Mito Uzumaki and Hashirama Senju. They were happily married couple, we even have Mito herself giving Kushina the secret to bear the burden of being a jinchuuriki as in, fill herself with love, which Kushina later does by being loved by Minato. Besides the happily married couple, they even had children and grandchildren – Tsunade-hime herself. So one would think…where did they fail? Well, not a failure per se, but we have to remember the times Hashirama and Mito lived in: a time filled with great hatred and wars all around. Mito is left alone after her husband is killed on the battlefield. Sad, isn’t it?

2. Tsunade and Dan/Tsunade and Jiraiya. Do I even need to mention this one? As we all know, Dan died, Tsunade being unable to save him due to less-medical knowledge at the time which makes Tsunade put the basis of the Medical Ninja System nowadays, while Jiraiya dies on the battlefield, right after Tsunade allowed her heart to open-up once more after mourning the death of her former lover. Tsunade is once again left alone, ironically, like her grandmother.

3. Obito and Rin. Oh, but don’t we all know that one as well? Obito sadly dies before he can confess his love to Rin, Rin being left alone as well, from a certain standpoint.

4. Minato and Kushina. We all that one very well. They did get to live their love story but sadly, they both get killed and unable to live their happy family dream.

5. Yahiko and Konan. Yahiko gets killed in the middle of war, ironically, Konan as well is left alone.

What did all these couples had in common? They lived in an era filled with hatred and wars and one way or another, they couldn’t live their normal, happy life next to their soul mate. But Naruto and Sakura will surpass all of them.

Unlike Obito, Naruto will confess to Sakura. Unlike Rin, Sakura already has saved Naruto and she won’t be left alone. Unlike Yahiko, he won’t get killed in the war and will live to find peace and fulfill that dream, same thing Yahiko wished, and will be able to protect his friends. Unlike Konan, Sakura as well, won’t be left alone and she was already able to save him. At least up until now. :P
Unlike Jiraiya/Dan, he won’t die or neither be continuously rejected and he will manage to protect Sakura/have her return his feelings – which already happened up to a certain extent in the manga. Unlike his parents, he will live to have a happy family with Sakura and will be able to grow old together in a peaceful era, not having to worry about losing one another on the battlefield, unlike it happened to Mito and Hashirama.

This new generation will surpass the old one in all its issues, be it we’re talking about the romantic subplot or any other major plot points.

Also what else validates the suppositions of the project being a series of canon movies? Well, remember Obito’s and Hashirama’s words about the next generation? That right there was clear foreshadowing from Kishi’s part. When the advertisements for The Last: Naruto the movie appeared talking about the new generation and then the chapters with Obito telling Kakashi he needs to take care of the next generation and Hashirama stating that he leaves everything on the next generation, I knew it then the fact that Kishi is gonna follow Toriyama’s footsteps but, like he did with the manga itself, on his own ways, even though Dragon Ball and Toriyama himself serves as inspiration.

Why am I sure about NaruSaku, you wonder? When all the rest of the fandom freaked out about Naruto’s comment about finding a girl like his mother and looked confused over Naruto’s line about Kushina Uzumaki being a person with a good heart deep down (or something along the lines), I just smirked a little. Why? Because we all know what Naruto meant when he said that things about the girlfriend part aren’t going that well but he’s giving his best, but besides that which girl we know being tender and deep down having a good heart, just like his mother, despite both seemingly being “violent” persons? Oh, right! None other than Sakura Haruno. Kishi always described Sakura that despite all the wrongdoings she is a girl with a great heart deep down herself. He even mentioned her kindness these latest chapters. So don’t tell me that any of you had no light-bulb around his head somewhere… :P

Also, besides that, Sakura’s intentions regarding Sasuke were made clear: she still loves him because he is a dear comrade of hers, they were both part of Team 7, but all she wants is to save him and that’s it. She doesn’t want Sasuke for herself or any other romantic implications. She just wants to save him from that path of darkness out of the kindness of her heart. Of course, fans from all camps jumped to conclusions like always, forgetting the context of the manga, but I guess that happens in all the fandoms, right? :P

NaruSaku is the manga’s pivotal pairing, no matter how people don’t want to admit it. In terms of a hetero pairing, they are it. That’s it, there’s no turnaround. The manga’s content clearly shows us that and if it’s someone who doubts it well, that’s on that person, not myself.  Besides NaruSasu, it’s the only pairing that has so many parallels with the old generation and we all know how much Kishimoto loves his parallels. To be frank, I do too. Just not excessively. But hey, each of us have our own little “obsessions”, I guess, haha.

Besides Naruto and Sakura as a couple, there are a lot of Naruto and Sakura as individual character plot points that have yet to be concluded. How did Sakura learn to summon, how did she learned Byakugo, the technique? When did she make the contract with the Slugs? What about Shikkotsurin? But what about her genjutsu skills? IMO, this will soon be resolved by Sakura breaking out of Sasuke’s genjutsu, but that’s just on me. Maybe it won’t be that way yet and it will be something Kishi touches in the movie(s). We also have Naruto’s personal goals, surpassing all the Hokages and becoming one of them himself. We’re yet to see that with the current revelation of Kakashi’s current-to-be Hokage position.

We also need to know what will become of Hinata, who’s supposed to become the heir to her clan. What will she do with the system that governs the Hyugas? Not to mention, we’re still yet to find the secrets behind the scattering of the Uzumakis and Karin Uzumaki’s own background, which Kishimoto promised to touch upon and so many other questions that need to be answered.

Therefore, with the info we have, it’s safe to assume that although Naruto as a manga is ending, the series will still live on for a couple of… years, maybe? At least that’s what I think.

What do you think? How do you imagine this will be played out? Feel free to leave some answers down below, I am curious about what you guys think!

With that being said,

See ya next time,

xoxo

Probably one of the dumbest and most biased pairing posts I’ve read in a long time.

    Scratch that. Make that ever.

Surely, one of the same old statements with no basis whatsoever plus argumentation zero, I read in a while. As a matter of fact, scrath THAT, it’s one of the same old I ALWAYS read.
      But suit yourself! ^_^

Hey Chatte great post, this has been the first thing to cheer me up since it was announced Naruto was ending in 5 weeks. Since it got me into a deep depression that kind of effected everything I was doing at the time (guess that should teach not to get too attached to a series).

Mainly because I have been against the idea of Naruto ending this year since and telling people its foolish (kind of made me the fool). As well as I thought it was too soon and bee rushed, which is happening now since part of me feel like a cancelation of Naruto.

Since the pacing for the war has been the main problem with the series third act (Part 1 first arc, 2nd part 2 till Pain or Kage arc). Their were some good moment like with anything Gaara, team 10 and Sakura focused. Some bits that I didn’t meed to see like Hanzo vs Mufine Hinata non stop thinking of Naruto and some of the rule breaking asspulls. Plus some concept I like with Obito went on too long and Kaguya too short.

I guess with the new way Naruto series is going could give more stories to tell like with the Kohona 11 and Sakura. Possibly maybe even some small bonus chapters like Toriyama. Though part of me feels cheated since something like this happened with Star Wars the Clone Wars, where Disney cancelled it when they bought Star Wars before proper closure and some of its stories had to be released in Comics and Novels. One of the reasons I don’t fully trust them with Star Wars. Also worried Studio Perritot will put too much of their biasness in the movie.

Not to mention I’m probably not going to enjoy the fandoms reactions since half of them are hating the manga. Though I would find it funny too see them upset that its not over.

Though I hope Sakura will at least join the fight in one chapter since I don’t want 693 to be the last thing people see her do in the manga since a lot hate her for it, did you see that review I sent to you?

Anyway good post reply if you want or have to time.

Do you know the difference between what’s canon and what’s not? I really don’t think you do, Naruto will “confess”? confess what? he was only confirmed to have a crush on Sakura which has not been brought up for over 200 chapters so therefore ist’ unconfirmed so therefore NS is no sided in canon.
Also your bias is so strong it’s deluded, I don’t care about who Sakura is going to fuck, if she ends up with Orochimaru i would not care, it’s not that important but she is in love with Sasuke, or did you skip the part where she screams to Sasuke that she loves him while having a flashback to her first confession? Kakashi did not say she doesn’t ever want romance with him, he’s saying her love is selfless, she does not care if he doesn’t return her feelings just as long as he is happy, an ape would know this, or anyone with reading comprehension.
Or maybe you need to read chapter 540 again which took place less than two days ago where she says she is IN LOVE with Sasuke, or the cover to 686, I suppose she was blushing “platonically” right?
If NS had any chance, she would of been on Naruto’s horse but she was not because NS is platonic.
All you NS shippers are hilarious, you all deny Sakura’s canon love for Sasuke but yet make up Naruto’s non canon love and twist Sakura’s.
If you want NS to be canon, that is perfectly okay but the way you’re twisting everything is not okay, it’s really delusional.

    Kass (7 months ago)

Twisting ? twisting what ? IT’S RIGHT THERE . The facts are right there . Whenever you like it or not narusaku is the pairing Kishimoto has been working through . SO DEAL WITH IT . If it wasn’t naruto transforming to sasuke you wouldn’t have sasusaku so stfu . You should thank naruto for keeping your stupid ship alive in part 1 just saying . AS FOR NARUHINA well guess what it never existed . only fan dreams . HInata was NEVER a major character only some plot for the huyga just that DEAL WITH IT

      Mikulia (7 months ago)

Right there where? Also, since when being not being a major character meant they can’t end up with a main character. Do I really need to remind you of Goku and Chichi?
Oh yeah Hinata is just a minor character, that’s why she have a cover with the main character aka the guy she loves. pfff.

Anyway, please show me this so huge “development” of NS you guys say. Because last time I checked there isn’t a single romantic scene between them or anything stating that they have deep romantic feelings for each other (naruto’s early crush is not love). like really, show me. i see a lot of comedy relief scenes and lots of sasuke talk. and that’s it. on the other hand we have sakura’s love for sasuke being mentioned over and over and over until sakura confesses AGAIN. the only diference this time is that instead of “I love you please take me with you” is “I love you so much and even if you don’t love me all I want is for you to be happy” and if you can’t see how much Sakura love Sasuke and how selfless her love is, then I’m sorry but you don’t understand Sakura at all. And SURPRISE I’m not an SS shipper, but I know how to read the damn manga.

Also must remind you that japanese native speakers confirmed that Sakura’s “I love you” and Kakashi’s “she loves you” were written with the ultimate kind of romantic love. So yes, her love for him is romantic.

but you know what, just keep being delusional, all more fun when the story ends. and just a warning, when NS don’t happen, don’t go hating on kishimoto or calling him a bad writer just because you couldn’t see his intentions since chapter 1 of the manga. Because I’ve gotta say every single people i know that read the manga and dont give a crap for pairings think that its pretty obvious naruto will end up with hinata. But please, be my guest to twist stuff. just don’t blame us when people start trowing your crashed dreams in your face.

        Kass (7 months ago)

i suggest you read this for what you said about dragonball
        http://chatte-georgiana.tumblr.com/post/91729078101/hello-chatte-i-just-wonder-have-you-read-dragon-ball

and as for sakura/naruto development do i have to say it to you? . It’s in the manga and you guys are too blind to see it or you don’t want to see it and accept it because you know that their development is something big.Bigger than yours.

As for Sakura’s love towards Sasuke? . Man do i have to say it again?im sure you know t . HER LOVE IS TOXIC AND SELFISH just like Hinata’s towards Naruto . it takes away her character development and makes her look bad . Just look how Sakura is without Sasuke ,she’s happy and strong while with Sasuke she is that sad girl who does stupid things to impress her crush . That’s what she did and still does . Sasusaku/Naruhina are toxic pairings that take away Sakura and Hinata’s developtem

Anyway this what i will say to you . When NS happens don’t go crying and cursing other people because ns became canon and you were too blind to see it from the start .

          Mikulia (7 months ago)

In the manga? Ok, let’s see…
Part 1: Sakura aways pushing Naruto away, later she learns that he’s actually a nice guy. Nothing romantic so far. I also remember her hugging Sasuke when he woke up in the hospital and what did Naruto do? He was going to speak but realized it wasn’t his place to a left them alone (even tsunade said that he knew when he should leave). We also have Sakura confessing to Sasuke, Naruto promising her to bring him back (because he knows she loves her, he said it).

In Part 2 there’s some interaction between them as a team, lots of Sakura punching Naruto (yeah NaruSaku is not an unhealthy relationship at all, double standarts much), but I must remind you that the interactions between Naruto and Sakura showed absolutely nothing clearly romantic, only them being friends (which yes there was a lot development). Oh yeah there was Sakura’s hug on Naruto after the Pein battle, which btw he did not returned, and pls don’t say it was because he was shocked if you’re not gonna accept people saying the same for him not replying Hinata’s confession right away. And saying the hug was romantic oh dear, yeah because I’m in love with all my friends that I hug after me or they had a hard moment in their lives. Because apparently you only hug people you love romantically, we don’t hug friends or cry for their safety at all.

And let’s not forget the fake confession. I don’t think I really need anything to say about this except Naruto himself said Sakura loves Sasuke. He knows that’s a fact and he accepted long ago. He didn’t show any indication of trying to fight for Sakura’s love at all. And saying that he’s promise was so he could win Sakura over was extremelly insulting to Naruto’s character and again he was the one to clarify things for us and say he wasn’t doing all that just for that promise, meaning he’s not trying to save Sasuke just for Sakura’s sake.

We also have the war and what a surprise some random guy confessed to her and once again her love for Sasuke is mentioned.

Later on Sasuke gets to the field and what a surprise Sakura pratically ignore Naruto. Later we even have Naruto telling Sasuke to go save Sakura. And later we have Sakura’s second confession and wow look at Naruto he looks so depressed… not.

So let’s take a look at the NS “development” here. We have Sakura treating naruto like shit but changes later after knowing him better and starts to respect him and treat him like a friend. They get really close almost as brother and sister. And that’s it. There’s no advance from Naruto’s part that indicates he still have feelings for Sakura besides deep friendship, and there’s no advance from Sakura for the same, only repeated reminders that she loves Uchiha fucking Sasuke.

And note that none of this means SasuSaku will happen. Honestly I don’t think it will. Even if Sasuke doesn’t feel a thing for Sakura, even if he does becomes a good person for her but still don’t feel anything for her, doesn’t mean she’ll stop loving him. Accept this.

          Sakura love Sasuke.

And you can rant all you want about how sasusaku is unhealthy and all that crap. It doesn’t matter what you think. All it matter is what Kishimoto thinks, and he keeps going back to Sakura’s love for Sasuke, and just how this loved evolved from a deep selfish love to a selfless love. It doesn’t matter if YOU think her love for Sasuke is not good for her. She loves him. Period. You don’t know if Kishimoto thinks it’s a bad thing. It’s his decision not yours.

Honestly, if you think NH and SS are toxic pairings so is NS. First of all Sakura’s always beating Naruto up. Second Naruto doesn’t trust Sakura’s strenght always telling her to stay back (while with Hinata he tolf her she was strong and it was all in her eyes and later asked her to fight with him), basically they don’t understand each other’s feelings at all (again he told Hinata he could see her strengh just by looking at her eyes. Had he ever said anything like that to Sakura at all?). They are the biggest BrOTP of the serie and I love them together as best friends. But there’s absolutely NOTHING indicating they have feelings for each other.

All hope for NS at this point is some crazy epiphany where the characters just realize they are in love with each other which would’t made any sense.

So yes, pls show me. You keep saying their development is something big but all I see is them becoming good friends and spending time together as a friend. Tbh I’m starting to think you guys just don’t really understand what “development” means. News to you, spending more time together with someone doesn’t mean you’re gonna be in love with that person. Otherwise people would be marrying their best friends and brothers/sisters all the time.

Man I’m laughting so bad here.

          Mikulia (7 months ago)

I just don’t understand why is so hard to accept that:

          1) HINATA LOVES NARUTO – For who he is and way before everyone else. She loved him when everyone else treated him like crap. And she never did anything to hurt him.

          2) SAKURA LOVES SASUKE – Doesn’t matter if he loves her or not. Doesn’t matter how much you try to convince yourself that it’s not good for her. Doesn’t matter how much you think she would be happier with naruto. Naruto says Sakura loves Sasuke. Sai said Sakura loves Sasuke, Kakashi said Sakura loves Sasuke. Kishimoto said Sakura loves Sasuke. How many times do you need this to be trown in your face to understand that even if you don’t agree with it, Sakura’s love for Sasuke is a fact?

          3) NARUTO NEVER STATED HE LOVED ANYONE – He had a crush on Sakura. A girl he found pretty. and that’s it. besides comedy relief that was never a single panel in the manga where Naruto said he had any feelings for Sakura (yes, diferently from you and your double standarts I’m aware that also means he never said anything about loving Hinata).

And just for the sake of comparision, let’s see Naruto’s pov development of Hinata:

From “shy but weird girl”, to “people I like”, to making a promise for her (and his sake, before his promise to Sakura mind you), to first person to ever tell him the words “I love you”, to person he thanks for saving his life and says he can see their strengh in their eyes, to person that gave him confidence back after he freaked out. Notice that Naruto thanks her for aways being by his side. He realized at that moment that the person always at his side supporting him was Hinata. coughnotsakuracough.

Yeah how could he ever fall in love with that stalker. No chance. He would be forever unhappy. He didn’t felt in love for her at first sigh. So she’s obviously second choice. A relationship where their personalities complement the other, where both have deep understand of each other to the point of saying they know by just looking at each other’s eyes. A relationship where they both treat each other with kindness. OMG so unhealthy!

          Mikulia (7 months ago)

OH OH OH!! Just one more thing! it’s the last one I promise!!

Not saying that this proves anything, just find it interesting. Please tell me how many times any of “important” NaruSaku scenes were mentioned again in future chapters? And I mean things between only the two of them so i’m not counting the promise to bring sasuke back since naruto said he was going to save sasuke not just for the promise.

Let’s see… Sakura’s confession to Sasuke was showed again in later chapters. Hinata saving Naruto was showed again in future chapters, Naruto and Hinata’s handhold was showed more than once from diferent perspectives (and in the cover). How about Sakura’s hug? hmmm no. And the very “romantic” CPR? no one even mentioned. Aw but my memory is not really good, so be a nice pal and show me any of the romantic scenes between Naruto and Sakura that were important enough to be reminded later.

    Nike (7 months ago)

Come on, Sai asked Naruto if he loved Sakura and he didn’t deny it. Sai also asked him if he has told her how he feels and Naruto said “How can I, I can’t even keep my promises. Now I am not saying Naruto will end up with Sakura as I have no idea what the outcome will be but I can definitely see that Naruto has more than a crush for Sakura and maybe you forget that he’s a guy so he will express his feelings differently than the girls. Jiraiya joked around with Tsunade but that didn’t mean it was just a crush. If it was just a crush why didn’t he get over her when he realized how Sakura felt about Sasuke back in part 1 or how he still tried the go on dates with her after the 3 year time skip. It’s sad how people don’t take the main character’s feelings seriously.

      Mikulia (7 months ago)

That’s actually a good point. Maybe I didn’t use the best words, but I don’t doubt Naruto actually started to love Sakura at some point, what I meant was that it’s something that was never confirmed.

Some people think that maybe Naruto didn’t ever actually loved Sakura romantically as much as he just wanted someone to love him. But I get your point too.

Personally I think that he probably did start loving Sakura at some point, but diferently from the beggining when he kept chasing her all around, he understanded that she wouldn’t ever love him the way he loved her and decided to back up in respect to her feelings. Because that’s the kind of character Naruto became.

Am I 100% sure Naruto never fell in love with Sakura? No. And I don’t think anyone can assume that. But I have a hard time believing that his strong feelings for Sakura were actually romantical love. If Naruto someday says “Sakura-chan I love you” I won’t start a huge denial rant of how he’s wrong and don’t understand his own feelings blah blah like NSs like to do with both Naruto and Sakura.

And hopefully even if Naruto did loved/love Sakura but ends up with Hinata, people will understand that she was not a second choice.

But thank you for your comment and for being nice about it :)

i don’know what mishi is really going to do but i just expected one thing from him to just ended sasuke as protagonist and love of sakura and ended hinata with naruto and tried to make every character alive once more and give them immortality

So. Something no one has pointed out. Remember the first time Naruto showed Kurama’s power? It was in the land of waves when Saske was “killed” by Haku. Remember the last time naruto lost control of the 9 tails? it was when Hinata was critically injured by Pain. He had an EIGHT tailed transformation then. EIGHT. The love that Naruto has for Saskue is pretty deep, but the feelings that he had for Hinata were deep enough for him to almost go 9 tails. Just saying. I’m usually not that guy who’s all about character pairing, but I’m going to be pissed if Naruto and Hinata aren’t a thing.

OH WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT!!!

Colored scans of chapter 700 confirmed NaruHina. WHAT A SURPRISE!

NOT!

We tried showing you that NH was logical. We showed you that the pairing had a lot more romantic development than NS, we tried to warn you that Kishimoto’s intentions were clear and there was no “underneath the underneath” but you refused to remove your shipper glasses and kept your denial.

Now face the consequences and if you want to be the mature ones, for once admit that maybe you were wrong all along and respect Kishimoto’s will and be grateful to him for making this amazing serie!

Nope it’s going to be a mini-series with a manga, though not sure how long it will be, as in chapters. But it won’t be OVA’s it’ll continue from where this series of the manga ended, Naruto is already Hokage now, and Naruto has a son and daughter (his son is a troublemaker like he was, even defacing the hokage monument like he did) with Hinata. Sasuke and Sakura have a daughter, Ino and Sai have a son I think. Choji has a daughter with one of the cloud ninja, Shikamaru has a son with Temari. Also from the trailer for The Last Kakashi is the Hokage, so it’s bridging the gap of two years between the end of the war to the end of the series. The new era will be about their kids and obviously Naruto as Hokage.
