BBC Breakfast's Steph McGovern wrote: 'Fiona Bruce is wearing trainers in the studio on the Ten O'Clock news! Right, that's the green light for my Converse on Monday. #happyfeet'

ITV News presenter Jess Dunsdon tweeted: 'Wow casual Friday for Fiona Bruce! Even I don't wear trainers under the desk let alone in a wide shot. #interestinglook'

Ms Bruce, 52, broke her right foot last month and was previously pictured walking into the BBC's London studios with her foot in a plaster cast.

Her Fake Or Fortune? co-host, art dealer Philip Mould, told Daily Mail’s Sebastian Shakespeare over the weekend that the presenter sustained her injury on a ‘trampoline’

Since then, she has been seen wearing the casual footwear in various shots sitting, but this appears to be the first time she has been broadcast live standing up in them.
