The Limecat meme at the start of the Offended page.

Offended is not a shock site itself, but it's an article containing shocking images in a website called Encyclopedia Dramatica. The article starts with at least 3 or 5 cute images of the Limecat meme, baby polar bear, fluffy puppies, etc. But after the last cute image, it starts showing very disgusting images involving pornography, dead people, gore, mutilation, disgusting diseases, unborn babies, and so on.

At the end of the page, there is a certificate saying "You are now eligible to live and work in the United States of America". In 2009, at the end of the page it showed "AIN'T THAT SOMETHING???!" in rainbow text colors. Earlier in 2010, there was a picture of Shocked Patrick and rainbow text reading "LULZ". There is also a link to an external website, which now seems to be closed. Once, the link would lead to a page which had a script that opened all programs installed on your computer, opened an infinite number of porn tabs and porn pop-ups, and has been suspected of installing malware on your computer. This website could still be harmful and has a chance damaging your computer.

Encyclopedia Dramatica

Encyclopedia Dramatica (often abbreviated ED and æ) is a satirical website, consisting of a wiki that uses MediaWiki software, and a forum based on XenForo forums software. Launched on December 10, 2004, it lampoons encyclopedia topics and current events, especially those related or relevant to contemporary Internet culture. It often serves as a repository of information and a means of discussion for the internet subculture known as Anonymous. The not safe for work site celebrates a subversive "trolling culture", and documents Internet memes, culture, and events, such as mass organized pranks, trolling events, "raids", large scale failures of Internet security, and criticism of Internet communities which are accused of self-censorship in order to garner prestige or positive coverage from traditional and established media outlets.[1] (From wikipedia)
