Street life: TOWIE's Mark Wright joins Michelle Keegan behind-the-scenes for her final episode of Coronation Street

They are seemingly joined at the hip, so it's unsurprising that Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright should find themselves behind-the-scenes at Coronation Street.

The couple, who are engaged to be married, were spotted backstage at the Manchester studios earlier this month.

It comes as Michelle filmed her last scenes for the ITV soap opera.

Wearing her typical Tina McIntyre attire, Michelle was clearly in work mode as she concentrated on her scenes - reading scripts and practicing scenes.

Meanwhile, wearing one of ITV's padded jackets which they use for external filming in cold weather, Mark looked on in curiosity.

He was clearly on-hand to offer her moral support through his partner's emotional swan song.

But, aside from getting to see how the show works, Mark's presence also had other perks - which meant the TOWIE personality now knows who killed his girlfriend's on-screen alter-ego.

Speaking on This Morning, Michelle explained: 'I haven't said anything to anyone... Does Mark know? Well, he was there when we filmed it.

'But to be fair, he hasn't told anyone, he's been really good.'

Michelle also talked about how sad she is to be leaving the long-running show, saying: 'It's nearly the end, I'm really sad! I was thinking of leaving about two years ago, and we spoke about it quite a while ago... and I did think about going a year ago, but I thought I'd do one more year.'

She added: 'I know who the killer is, yeah. We did film different endings, but the longer version [we filmed] was who did it.'

The scenes will be screened on ITV, Tuesday 27 May.
