So no wonder Hilary Duff looked so pleased as she left a posh salon sporting voluminous, glossy locks in West Hollywood on Tuesday.

The Lizzie McGuire starlet was in such a good mood she waved at fans as she pranced back to her Mercedes following her epic pamper session.

Hilary, 28, looked in fine form indeed in a black T-shirt, dark skinny jeans, trendy flat cream-coloured flat shoes and rounded off her look by wearing a varsity jacket on her shoulders.

However it was her bouncy barnet that really stole the show, and it was a vast improvement on the lank lifeless mane she sported almost a week ago in Beverly Hills.

The yummy mummy's cheerful demeanour suggests she is enjoying single life since being granted a divorce from Canadian former NHL player Mike Comrie in February.

She previously revealed she is now focusing all her efforts on being a good mother to their four-year-old son Luca.

The former Disney star rocked ripped jeans and a black sweater topped with a Saint Laurent bomber jacket. She finished her look with a pair of Valentino studded leather espadrilles.
