He may be the Hollywood superstar in the relationship but George Clooney's wife Amal once again proved she could easily be an A-list star in her own right on Thursday evening.
However, although the human rights lawyer cut an incredibly dazzling figure on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of George's new film Money Monster, she clearly struggled with the long length of her flowing gown.
So it's no surprise that later in the evening, as the smitten pair left the premiere's official after party in nearby Antibes, the 55-year-old actor clung tightly to his wife's hand.

George seemed loathed to want to let go of his beautiful spouse's hand as she tottered along the street in her devilishly high heels, the very same ones that almost became entangled in the full lemon yellow skirt while in front of hundreds of cameras at the premiere.
The 38-year-old barrister happily kept a firm grip on her man's hand as they were joined by other partygoers after toasting to the evening's success.

The movie, a new thriller which also stars Jack O'Connell, is set to premiere on Thursday night at the Grand Theatre Lumiere at the Palais des Festivals.
It tells the story of a financial TV host (George), who gets taken hostage on-air along with his producer (Julia) by a trouble investor (Jack).
The film is Jodie's fourth directional outing following Little Man Tate, Home For The Holidays and The Beaver.
