The U.S. Coast Guard is searching the Gulf of Mexico for Samantha Broberg (pictured left with her husband) of North Texas who missing from a cruise ship sailing out of Galveston, Texas on Friday night. The ship reported that a surveillance video showed a woman falling overboard a Carnival Cruise (file pic bottom right) about 2 a.m. Friday.

Thankfully, Leah beat the odds, and in January was finally discharged from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, cancer-free.

Financier Jeffrey Epstein drew just an 18-month prison term for soliciting prostitutes and procuring underage girls for prostitution. His private jet jet reportedly had a bed where guests had group sex with young girls. The famously lothario-like Bill Clinton is one of several big names who hung with Epstein before the depth of his legal problems were made public. Flight logs show the former president jetting to Brunei, Norway, Russia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, the Azores, Africa, Belgium, China, New York, and Belgium - all on Epstein's plane.

Emile Weaver, 21, (pictured) was found guilty of aggravated murder on Friday after she wrapped her newborn in a bag and threw her out near a trash can at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio. Weaver, who was also found guilty on three other counts, has not been sentenced and can face life in prison without parole. Weaver testified on Friday that she was in denial about her pregnancy, even though her sorority sisters noticed she had gained weight, wore baggier clothing, and often held a pillow in front of her stomach. Weaver told jurors she denied the rumors so many times she believed 'none of this was happening.' The court also heard a recorded interview with investigators where Weaver recounted giving birth on the toilet at about 8am on April 22, 2015, left the bathroom to get a knife to cut the umbilical cord, and returned thinking the baby had died because it showed no signs of movement. She texted the man she thought was the father a few hours later and said it had been 'taken care of' and that there was 'no more baby'. Days later, she went to a hospital in West Virginia with her mom saying she had a miscarriage, even though medical tests showed she had carried the baby to full term. John Caltabiano (pictured inset in a mugshot), 49, of Catskill, New York, said in his disability application he couldn't drive, cook or shave without help. He showed up to his disability hearing with his girlfriend, who guided him inside. But just a few days before, investigators had caught Caltabiano on tape driving his car (pictured), reading - and even hitting the brakes to avoid hitting a woman and a child. Caltabiano claimed he had lost his sight in a workplace accident while employed at a cement company in 2006. He did lose sight in one eye, investigators found, but his other eye didn't appear to have been affected during the accident.

Police are trying to establish why Gary Simpson, 57, took nine-year-old niece Carlie Trent from school in Rogersville, Tennessee, nine days ago as she remains in hospital having medical exams. Simpson and Carlie were discovered on a remote property 15 miles from the girl's school yesterday. He is currently being held on a $1million bond charged with especially aggravated kidnapping, but officers say more charges could still be added. He is due to make his initial court appearance on Monday.

The military hero was shot dead after he went to the aid of military advisers who had been ambushed by around 100 jihadi fighters in Irbil. Keating, a Navy Petty Officer 1st Class from Phoenix, is the third US service member to have died in the conflict in Iraq since U.S. forces returned there in 2014. His remains have been transported across a bridge to Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, where he will be buried as a chief petty officer, a rank he received posthumously.

One of the high level NYPD officers who was being questioned in a federal corruption probe committed suicide at a Long Island golf course on Friday. NYPD Inspector Michael Ameri (left), who was the commanding officer of the Highway District, reportedly killed himself at the Bergen Point Golf Course in West Bablyon (right) about 12.45pm, according to the New York Daily News. The 44-year-old was found with a gunshot wound to his head inside of a vehicle. Ameri was allegedly being questioned as part of the federal probe into corruption with the police department. It's unclear if he was a target of the probe or what role he may or may not have played in the scandal that has gripped the NYPD and mayor's office in the last few months.

A shocking video has emerged on social media of a woman in Philadelphia being beaten on a city street in broad daylight by a man as a crowd of people just stand by and watch. The video was filmed on Ontario Street in the city's Kensington neighborhood on Thursday morning, according to Fox 29. One of the people who recorded the horrific incident did not want to be identified by the television station on camera. 'The guy was actually on top of the girl-- just beating on her,' he told Fox 29.

Charlotte police officer Tim Purdy (inset) was dispatched to a job involving an autistic high school who had a history of violent behavior, amid reports that the boy was suicidal. Upon finding the boy, Purdy decided to sit down on the ground and talk through what was wrong (main). The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department posted a picture of the touching moment to their Facebook page, with people quickly reacting to the kindness of the situation. 'In order to build a connection with the young man, Officer Purdy sat next to him on the ground, talked things through and even got him laughing,' the Facebook post said. 'Officer Purdy established trust and a relationship that allowed officers to get this young man the help that he so desperately needed.'

Michael Strahan said farewell to Live With Kelly and Michael Friday morning with a muted sendoff that featured little talk of his departure and only a few brief clip packages of him and co-host Kelly Ripa's best moments. He was also played off with music as he gave his final farewell at the end of show. That did not seem to bother Strahan one bit however, as he was seen smiling while driving away from the building in the back of an Escalade at 10:32am - just 30 minutes after he finished filming the episode. Another Escalade was out in the street to block traffic so Strahan could make his speedy exit. Ripa meanwhile was photographed arriving home shortly after noon with husband Mark Consuelous, having changed out of the funeral bluish-black dress she wore on the show into a fluorescent yellow top.

Go pick on someone else! A baby bison calf managed to win a fight against a wolf looking for a snack.The youngster's struggle for his life was caught on camera. The calf was on a gravel island in Yellowstone National Park when the attack took place. During the assault, the predator repeatedly tried to get at the calf's throat. The calf, however, was able to defend itself and kept moving around, escaping death. His mother soon got to the scene -- and the calf was safe from harm. Incredibly, the calf moved toward the wolf, as if challenging the creature, which moved away.

The 11-year-old viral sensation from Texas proved the force was strong with him as he expertly levitated the fruit with his bright green trainers in an astounding video posted on his Instagram. The youngster from Keller's account is littered with fun videos of his juggling escapades - including one of him juggling a book, and playing keepy-uppy while staring straight ahead and sipping a drink.

The comical video shows Rambro repeatedly try to headbutt the basketball into submission. It was cunningly placed there by Marty Todd in his 100 acre forest near Nelson in New Zealand. Rambro's brood then appear to get increasingly frustrated at his antics as he becomes content to aimlessly play around with his new toy.

Incredible - yet disgusting - footage from South Africa shows a lion pulling an unborn foetus out of the buffalo it has just killed. Three male lions had taken down the female buffalo right next to a roadside watering hole. One lion's appetite in particular cannot be satiated however and he continues feasting after the others leave. As it burrows its head in the bloody cavities of the dead animal it can be seen pulling out a fleshy object. A shocked couple watch in horror. 'It's a baby!' the woman cries. It then drops it under the tree  - as its friend looks on with interest - and settles down for hearty lunch. 'Oh my goodness, gross,' the lady says. Kruger National Park is one of the largest game reserves in Africa and became South Africa's first national park in 1926.
