Sales of the iPhone have slumped by 10million this year, and yesterday shareholders' jitters increased as the sole supplier of chips for the iPhone 7 announced that it was cutting production. This was a signal that Apple was being forced to lower its estimates on the number of gadgets it was expected to sell.

Fed up of short-lived sign-up deals and crafty interest hikes? Here's our pick of the five best low-rate credit cards
Interest-free purchase and balance transfer deals can be a useful tool if used correctly - but miss a payment or fail to clear your debts in time and you can be lumped with high interest charges on remaining debts. This is Money takes a look at the best no-frills credit cards offering a consistently low interest rate.
'My state pension is just £80.42. Is this right? I thought I would be entitled to more': Our retirement Agony Uncle Steve Webb answers your questions
Former Pensions Minister Steve Webb is This Is Money's Agony Uncle. This week, he tackles a question from a reader who is surprised to just be receiving £80.42 a week. She asks whether she is entitled to any top ups for the time in which she was bringing up children and out of the workplace - or simply a top up because her income is so low.
Defiant refusal to get 'rip off' financial advice leaves upholstery entrepreneur, 75, facing compulsory £60k annuity purchase in stand-off over £356k pension pot
A defiant stand against paying for financial advice has left John Small struggling to gain control over his savings, despite pension freedom reforms promising full access. The 75-year-old businessman is being forced to buy a £60,000 Zurich annuity against his wishes because he refuses to pay for advice about his pension arrangements. Mr Small has sent a personal letter of protest to Prime Minister David Cameron about the legal requirement forcing savers to get professional help before unlocking some pension pots worth £30,000-plus.
There are warning signs everywhere that the British housing bubble is about to go POP! according to DAN HYDE
In an estate agent's window in Streatham, South London, a two-bed flat starts at £500,000. Prices like this leave little room for the housing bubble to continue to inflate. I am scratching my head trying to work out how the property market can go any higher if everyone is priced out - so is a downturn on the way?
Demand for gold soars 21% as uncertain financial times have investors flocking to safe havens
The rising demand for gold has triggered a 17 per cent jump in the metal's price in the first three months of the year, with some commentators suggesting it could rise further if Britain votes to leave the European Union next month. Figures published today by the industry-backed World Gold Council showed that demand for gold rose by 21 per cent in the first quarter of 2016.
Why more families are going to court over inheritance: But our free guide can help avoid costly rows
Modern family dynamics are also causing more rows, with divorce, second marriages, stepchildren and half-brothers and sisters now common. The more extended the family, the more likely it is that arguments will arise. One of the most recent high-profile cases is a dispute over the legacy left by Lynda Bellingham, who starred in the Oxo adverts in the Eighties.
ASK TONY: I made just £20 pet-sitting - now HMRC is hounding me for £100 over a late tax return
I set up a pet-sitting business and made only £20 in the tax year 2014/15. I called HMRC and was told all I needed to do was write in, setting out details of the cash movements on my business account. In February, I received a £100 late-filing penalty as I'd not completed a tax return. I was told to appeal, but have heard nothing.
'Pound will dive 20% after Brexit': NIESR warns households face higher prices and UK economy will be 'shocked' if we leave the EU
The National Institute of Economic and Social Research said sterling could dive 20 per cent if 'Leave' supporters win on 23 June and that the economy would face a 'significant shock'. The pound has already fallen by around 7 per cent against the euro since the beginning of the year and today it fell a further 0.4 per cent to €1.26 after the release of poor manufacturing data.
