The Ethikon Institute is a non-profit organization that publishes a series of books in comparative ethics and organizes dialogue-conferences on moral issues of current importance. Ethikon projects explore and compare a range of influential ethical perspectives, both secular and religious, and seek to clarify areas of consensus and divergence among them. Its method is to engage experts on diverse moral traditions to focus on the same aspects of carefully selected topics. By so doing, Ethikon aims to broaden the scope of ethical discourse and to sharpen its focus. In thus encouraging a systematic exchange of views, Ethikon seeks to advance the prospects for cross-tradition agreement and to facilitate the peaceful accommodation of remaining differences.
