She recently split with girlfriend Kristen Stewart little more than a month after she declared her love for the Twilight beauty in a magazine interview.

And seemingly not over the break-up, Soko appeared downcast as she was pictured out in Cannes on Sunday.

Despite party-hopping at the Film Festival this week, the actress failed to raise a smile as she headed to the Three Six Zero Entertainment celebration.

Even a cheery Mickey Mouse hat - complete with big ears - failed to lift the French singer's mood.

The 30-year-old star teamed a Duran Duran t-shirt with white cuffed jeans for a casual and retro look.

She accessorized with a leather choker and some funky sunglasses with white edges.

While soaking up the atmosphere at the outdoor event, the star posed alongside her musician brother Maxime.

The duo really kicked back as they took off their shoes and posed barefoot.

The talented brunette is currently promoting her movie The Dancer (La danseuse) during the festival.

Meanwhile, the same day, Soko's ex Kristen, 26, was spotted at the premiere of American Honey where she was pictured holding hands with rumoured ex-girlfriend Alicia Cargile.

Kristen and Alicia were rumored to be dating last summer although neither confirmed the relationship.

Risking an awkward run-in Soko and Kristen attended the same Vanity Fair event on Thursday night.

The former lovers were pictured arriving separately to the celeb-studded bash, but tensions were most certainly a palpable reality for the two.

According to UsWeekly, Kristen and Soko - real name Stéphanie Sokolinski - ended their relationship a few weeks ago after 'a few months' of dating.

It came after Soko confirmed her relationship with the Clouds of Sils Maria star in an interview for W magazine in March.

Explaining that she had no need to seek a date via Instagram, Soko gushed: 'I think if I was in the need of doing that right now, I would totally be able to come up with something. But I’m very, very, very in love and very happy in a relationship, so I don’t have that urge,'
