Kristen Stewart rocks menswear inspired look in stylish suit jacket and cropped trousers as she steps out in Cannes

She's upped her style game for the 69th annual Cannes Film Festival.

And Kristen Stewart was impeccably dressed once again as she ventured out in the picturesque French town on Wednesday, clad in a cool and quirky suit.

The 26-year-old star showed off her tomboy flair for fashion in the smart jacket and matching cropped trousers, paired with a white vest top for a relaxed vibe.

Do it 'old skool' in Kristen's trainers by Vans

Kristen Stewart has been living it up in Cannes this week and we've seen a variety of glamorous looks on the star, mostly from Chanel.

But having a rare moment to herself where she wasn't needed on the red carpet or at a photocall, she reverted back to her androgynous style, shying away from skirts and dresses and choosing this cute blazer and trousers instead. And in typical Kristen style she teamed her smart look with a pair of trainers - Vans to be precise which rarely leave the star's feet (except when she's wearing the same pair in red!).

Everyone needs a go-to pair of sneakers in their life so if you haven't found your perfect pair yet, take a leaf out of Kristen's book and go for some versatile monochrome Vans - click right to bag a pair at Zappos.

Kristen has been busy promoting festival opener - Woody Allen's new comedy, Cafe Society - and Olivier Assayas' thriller, Personal Shopper.

At a press screening Monday night, a handful booed the film, although critics praised her performance in the psychological drama, which is about a star's fashion assistant who can communicate with the spirits and is grieving for her deceased twin brother.

Booing is a long-held custom at Cannes, though many jeered or divisive films have gone on to become beloved.

Asked which director she'd like to work with, Kristen cited Melancholia helmer Lars von Trier - who is known for his avant-garde and visually distinctive style - as her bucket list dream.

'I love Lars von Trier. It’s hard for me to think of those things and I’m reluctant to say [who] because they follow you around', she said during a press conference.

'Seems horse before the cart. But I would kill to work for Lars von Trier.'
