He's a good fella! Robert De Niro lovingly holds wife Grace Hightower's hand as longtime couple arrive at NYC charity gala

Robert De Niro and his wife Grace Hightower helped celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Riverkeeper's Fishermen's Ball at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers in New York City Wednesday night.

The couple are committed supporters of the nonprofit organization that seeks to protect the environment and integrity of the Hudson River.

De Niro, 72, and Hightower, 61, put on a loving display on the red carpet, holding hands as they posed for photos.

The movie legend wore a bespoke black suit with black shoes and a light blue shirt with patterned charcoal tie.

His wife was lovely in a springtime floral frock paired with a knee-length cream coat and pearl white pointed toe pumps.

The pair recently publicly acknowledged that their son Elliott, 18, has autism. They also share a daughter Helen Grace, fur, born via surrogate in 2011.

De Niro is the founder of the Tribeca Film Festival and one reason he was at the Fishermen's Ball was to introduce a short film made thanks to Tribeca Film Fellows.

The fundraiser also honored Leonardo DiCaprio and Ralph Lauren for their environmental activism.

Other guests at the event included Trudie Styler, whose husband Sting was scheduled to give a special performance, Debbie Harry from Blondie, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, actors James Cromwell and Mark Ruffalo and Bravo's Andy Cohen.
