Like the name of her 2014 hit, Katy Perry came over all 'Extraterrestrial' on Thursday night.

Slipping into something silver for the afterparty, the musician looked positively space age as she joined A-list guests after amfAR's 23rd Cinema Against AIDS Gala in Cannes.

Katy ditched her Spanish-inspired red-hot Flamenco dress in favour of a slinky metallic number, complete with kooky pom-pom earrings.

Party time: Katy Perry slipped into a silver dress, her second of the night, to join stars at the afterparty of amfAR's 23rd Cinema Against AIDS Gala in Cannes on Thursday

Katy's ensemble nipped in at the waist and skimmed over her bust with fringing revealing her nude undergarments beneath.

Silver heels and a matching clutch bag completed the iridescent image as she made a quick change with her raven locks and headed for Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc post-party.

Though unaccompanied by Hollywood hunk and new beau Orlando Bloom at the afterparty, Katy was in high spirits, posing against the kooky wallpaper and talking to Markus Molinari.

Musician Katy arrived at the star-studded gala event that night in striking off the shoulder and full-length Marchesa gown in scarlet.

The 31-year-old put on a jokey display alongside her beau Orlando, who had arrived to support the star ahead of her performance at the event.
