Blake's comments about his weight came as he answered questions for People's 'One Last Thing' column.

Speaking about the 'last time I went black tie,' Blake shared: 'Some friends got married in January, so I rented a tux. If you get dressed up, it should be fitted, but then it's hard for me to disguise man boobs and gut.'

'It's all sticking out!' the country crooner jokingly added of having to suit up for the special occasion.

Blake also got real while speaking with Country Music Television, talking about what a surprise his connection with Gwen was and how important it has been to him.

'It's not something anybody could've seen coming besides God I guess because it doesn't look like it would make sense,' Blake said.

He added: 'All I can tell you is that it does. It just makes the most perfect sense for us and where we're at in our lives.'

And the stars - who worked together on chart-topping duet Go Ahead and Break My Heart - have certainly found a deep connection.

Blake gushed that their relationship 'saved my life,' adding that if you asked Gwen about it: 'I think she'd tell you something similar about me.'

For added emphasis the country crooner continued: 'This thing just happened. It saved my life. Period.'

This comes after Blake had gushed to Extra about writing the duet for him and Gwen, admitting he had never planned for it to be as successful as it is.

'It was odd because we wrote the song last fall sometime,' he said, adding: 'I started the song just because I was trying to impress her and I sent it to her on like voice memo. Just texted it to her.'

He had added that he was just trying to write a song 'to get her excited about me,' though now the single - which they performed together on The Voice - has been topping the iTunes chart.

The pair, who have been dating officially since November, will also perform the hit during the Billboard Music Awards on May 22.
