The first official photo for Baywatch was shared on Thursday.

The snap was made to look like a postcard with fun cursive writing saying: 'Greetings from Baywatch. See you all next summer.'

In the image Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson can be seen posing with Zac Efron, Kelly Rohrbach, Alexandra Daddario, Ilfenesh Hadera and Jon Bass.

The Rock has on a blue shirt and red shorts while Zac is sporting a red zip up jacket and red shorts.

Jon wears a blue shirt and red shorts.

And all three girls are in bathing suits with Kelly standing out as the only one in a bikini.

On Thursday The Rock shared the image to Instagram with the note: 'That's an official wrap! Holy sh*t we had a blast pushing the rated R envelope. Hilarious, bad ass and highly dysfunctional "Avenger's of the beach" come home.'

Baywatch is being produced by The Rock, who also plays the lead lifeguard Mitch Buchannon.

Meanwhile Zac Efron is taking on the role of David Charvet's Matt Brody and Priyanka Chopra has landed the part of the villainous Victoria Leeds.

The Rock recently announced that original Baywatch star David Hasselhof will make a cameo in the new film.

Pamela Anderson has also officially joined the cast as well.

The 48-year-old actress was welcomed to the project by The Rock as he posted a salutary snap to Instagram.

The Rock captioned the image: 'She introduced the world to "CJ Parker" and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation - for the most successful TV show of all time.'

'A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our #BAYWATCH cast,' he added.

The Baywatch remake began filming end of February, with a release date set for May 19, 2017.

The film is due to be released on May 19, 2017, 28 years after the TV series first hit the air.
