Malja to replace injured Visoiu at Rapax
16 November 2015 – Swedish driver Gustav Malja will return to the GP2 Series field at the upcoming Bahrain and Abu Dhabi rounds, replacing the injured Robert Visoiu at Rapax.
Malja has spent 2015 competing in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series, in which he finished ninth, and also made his GP2 debut with Trident at Spa-Francorchamps.
Malja, 20, will partner Sergey Sirotkin for the final two rounds.
"We were sad to hear about the injury occurred to Robert and we wish him a prompt return on-track," said Rapax chief Andrea Bergamini, as he confirmed the line-up change.
"In the two final events of the season we will have the chance to welcome a young rookie like Gustav Malja, who aims to consolidate his experience aboard the GP2 Dallara."
