Hunky Outlander star Sam Heughan strips off his shirt in sizzling snap as he swaps kilt for cutting-edge fashions in magazine shoot

He dons a kilt for his role as Jamie Fraser in Outlander, set in Scotland in the 1750s.

And Sam Heughan looked just as hunky in eight very different outfits chosen for him by Haute Living Los Angeles for its May-June edition.

The magazine asked the 36-year-old, who hails from New Galloway in Scotland, to model the season's top trends.

They included two sharp suits by Berluti and Versace plus a topless shot of him wearing just Prada trousers that likely fired up his legion of female fans, dubbed Heughligans.

The star shared some of the photos on Instagram, starting a week ago with an outfit that showed off his pecs in a tight white Sandro jumper and Bruno Cucinelli trousers, and a moody shot of him in a light blue Canali jacket.

He also posted a snap of himself in the blue Beluti suit and T-shirt on Sunday, captioned: 'Feeling...Blue' with a heart emoji.

The romantic drama sees married World War II nurse Claire Randall, played by Caitriona Balfe, transported back in time to Scotland where she meets dashing warrior Jamie.

While they fall in in love, Sam has yet to reveal anything about his off-screen love life, giving hope to Heughligans everywhere.

Aside from Outlander, he will next be seen on the big screen in comedy fantasy When The Starlight Ends, co-starring David Arquette and Arabella Oz, due out this year.
