'Missing you': Gigi Hadid shares sweet snapshot of herself cuddling up to boyfriend Zayn Malik under the covers

They've been smitten ever since they started dating late last year.

And Gigi Hadid confessed she was pining for boyfriend Zayn Malik while they're apart with work commitments, sharing a sweet Instagram tribute to the former One Direction heartthrob on Friday.

The 21-year-old model posted a picture of the pair seemingly recreating the lyrics of Zayn's hit single Pillowtalk as they cuddled up underneath the covers.

The cute couple shot, which shows the pair's peeking out from under a sheet, was simply captioned, 'missing you ❤'.

Gigi's fans went wild for the adorable picture, enthusing, 'so cute', 'goals' and 'best couple'.

The pair haven't been seen in public together since the Met Ball when they made their red carpet debut, but Zayn clearly hasn't been far from Gigi's mind.

The brooding pop star was spotted on a photoshoot in West Hollywood and performed at KIIS FM's Wango Tango earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Gigi recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she professed her love of a good burger.

The runway star joked that she lives by the motto: ‘Eat clean to stay fit, eat a burger to stay sane’.

‘I live by that religiously in my life,’ she laughed on the talk show.

Hadid, the daughter of Real Housewife Yolanda Hadid, claims she ate a different burger every week for a year, when she first moved to New York City.

‘The best is JG Melon’s, Uptown,’ alleged the lithe 21-year-old, who was wearing a monochrome corset and skintight suit trousers.

‘It’s so simple, they don’t try too hard… I had it for dinner last night,’ she recalled, as Fallon, 41, brought out two beef patties for them to devour on the stage.

‘I don’t do tomatoes,’ she announced, checking inside the bun before taking a generous bite.

Hadid has just celebrated her birthday, ‘at the beach’ with her family.

‘So I didn’t actually drink on my 21st birthday,’ she said, while noting that she went to Las Vegas a week afterwards, to indulge with her beau Zayn.

‘My boyfriend taught me how to play poker the night before we went to Vegas so I won $400… on a $15 poker table, I thought that was pretty good,’ she beamed.

Adding: ‘Or blackjack, sorry it was blackjack, I’m so nervous I got the wrong game,’ giggled the model who who has appeared on ten Vogue covers already.

She decided that while her gambling days are not over she’ll ‘stick to Monopoly’ next time.

Hadid has spent the last year collaborating with Tommy Hilfiger staff for a clothing collection that will be launched this September.

‘I have so much respect for all the artists and the designers that I worked with that I don’t want to call myself a designer,’ she said humbly.

Adding: ‘I just wanted to make clothes for people that follow me and for fans of Tommy Hilfiger that…you know…it kind of brings the East Coast and the West Coast together’.
