Clever disguise! Nicki Minaj goes undercover in hood and dark shades to watch her niece perform at school play

She's known for her over-the-top and busty outfits so this was an entirely new look for her.

Nicki Minaj managed to slip inside her niece's high school play on Thursday unnoticed thanks to a very clever ruse.

The 33-year-old rapper was virtually unrecognisable in dark shades and a black hooded outfit which allowed her to mingle among the players after the performance.

There was no chance of sexy Nicki stealing the show judging by the cute backstage selfie she shared of her with niece Kellise.

'My epic niece, Kellise did such an amazing job @ her school play today,' Nicki gushed in the photo caption.

'S/O to all the students @ #JohnAdamsHS in QUEENS ~ I wish more HS students spent time doing things like this.'

Nicki's clever disguise worked so well that she obviously had to tell people afterwards that she'd been there.

There's been no shortage of affection from this adoring auntie - Nicki posted a previous Instagram that saw her and Kellise posing shoulder-to-shoulder.

However, the Anaconda star was in sync with her true outrageous nature as she attended Wednesday's Adult Swim concert in New York City.

Nicki's cleavage was maxed out in a tight yellow bra top that put her toned abs on display too, and was matched with high-waisted black trousers featuring a glittery belt buckle.

Like her niece Kellise, Nicki has shown her flair for acting with roles in such films as The Other Woman and Barbershop: The Next Cut.

Nicki is proud to even be called an 'actress,' telling Entertainment Tonight: 'I'll wear that title proudly too.

She's clearly been bit by the acting bug and has convinced people that she can act.

'That's always the goal. I always want to be great at anything I do,' Nicki said, adding: 'I don't want to come off as the rapper who wants to act.'
