Former Batman actor Michael Keaton, 64, is in 'negotiations' to play the villain opposite Tom Holland and Zendaya in Spider-Man: Homecoming

He played Batman in the 1980s.

Now it looks as if veteran actor Michael Keaton, 64, is dipping his toe into the world of Spider-Man, according to a Friday report from The Hollywood Reporter.

The star was in talks to join the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming in April, reported Variety, but it didn't work out. Now the producers are knocking on Keaton's door again.

The actor would reportedly would play the villain opposite Tom Hollander, who has been cast as Peter Parker/Spidey.

Tom already made his debut as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, which passed $1 billion at the global box office.

Filming is scheduled to begin in June.

Robert Downey Jr. will appear as Tony Stark/Iron Man. 

Marisa Tomei will play Aunt May, while Zendaya, 19, is the female lead. Tony Revolori and Laura Harrier have also signed on.

Homecoming is Sony’s reboot of its Spider-Man franchise.

The studio has partnered with Marvel to produce. Amy Pascal and Marvel’s Kevin Feige are producing the project.

Marvel and Sony are keeping plot and character details secret.
