Vegas bound! Ciara dresses down as she jets off with fiance Russell Wilson ahead of the Billboard awards

It's going to be one of the biggest nights of the year for Ciara.

But ahead of the fanfare and attention of Sunday night's Billboard Awards, the beauty made a low key exit out of Los Angeles on Thursday night.

Dressed down in a Nike sweatshirt and matching sweatpants, she and her NFL star fiance Russell Wilson walked hand in hand at Los Angeles airport.

It's a safe bet that the pair were heading to Las Vegas - where Ciara is set to co-host the Billboards alongside Ludacris in front of a huge star-studded audience this weekend.

Earlier in the evening 30-year-old singer Ciara had appeared on Jimmy Kimmel, where she chatted about her plans for the weekend.

And it certainly seemed the beauty had plenty of prep to be getting on with - as she admitted she and Ludacris had yet to rehearse for the live broadcast.

Ludacris, who joined her on Kimmel, is a two-time Billboard veteran and seemed relaxed about the big night - saying they would do a 'little bit' of preparation.

He told the chatshow host the night was about 'coming together and just making it our own and having a lot of fun.'

Meanwhile Ciara had had a happy time earlier in the day celebrating her son Future Jr's second birthday.

After starting the day with Mickey Mouse pancakes, she hosted a small Sesame Street themed party, at which guests including Kelly Rowland were treated to a bright red Elmo cake.

The celebration came just days after the mother-of-one failed in her bid to secure solo custody of her young son, whose father is the rapper Future.

The parents split back in August 2014 amid rumours he had been unfaithful.
