She's the globetrotting model who flew into Sydney this week to take part in the Mercedes-Benz Australian Fashion Week.

But Melbourne-born Shanina Shaik looked in happy and relaxed spirits as she enjoyed dinner with friends on Thursday night before the grand finale.

She looked hot to trot while flaunting her runway-ready legs in a denim mini skirt while preparing to hit the catwalk for the Oscar De La Renta closing show.

The 25-year-old appeared glowing as she walked out of a Southeast Asian restaurant in the New South Wales capital.

She opted for a pair of over-the-knee high-heeled boots and rounded off her look with a cropped white jumper with grey frilled detailing.

The Victoria's Secret model slung a handbag casually over her left shoulder and styled her brunette locks in a simple ponytail.

Seemingly wearing minimal make-up, she displayed her striking natural beauty with her hair pulled back.

Meanwhile, Shanina flashed a cheeky smile while leaving the restaurant and was then spotted chatting with a pretty blonde friend.

Her unknown pal looked equally glamourous in a pair of beige boots and figure-hugging white jeans.

Shanina will model an array of dramatic gowns on Friday on the Oscar de la Renta runway at Sydney's Carriageworks on Friday.

While Mr de la Renta passed away in 2014 aged 82, his stepdaughter, Eliza Bolen will be represent the brand in Sydney.

The presence of 'one of the world's leading luxury brands' at the Australian Fashion Week 'reinforces Sydney as a global fashion capital,' said Stuart Ayres, Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events recently.
