Billie Piper cuts a lone figure as she steps out in loose fitting dungarees after finalising divorce from Laurence Fox

Her ex-husband Laurence Fox reportedly hinted at a feud between himself and her mother during a recent gig in Manchester.

But Billie Piper looked as though she was in good spirits as she stepped out following their recent divorce proceedings.

Pulling a series of animated facial expressions, the 33-year-old actress seemed in relatively good spirits as she enjoyed a stroll across the green in London on Thursday.

Clad in navy dungarees and a beige long sleeved top, the Penny Dreadful actress looked effortlessly chic on the day as she strode past.

Sweeping her strawberry blonde locks away from her face, the pretty star appeared to go make-up free for the outing, concealing her eyes behind a pair of oversized sunglasses.

Clutching a bottle of water, the 'Fox' tattoo she had inked in tribute to her husband was clear to see on her ring finger, despite the fact she reportedly began the process of having it removed in 2011.

Billie was granted a 'quickie' divorce from her actor husband Laurence Fox in a court ruling that took just 50 seconds earlier this month, citing unreasonable behaviour.

The couple - who have two sons Winston, seven, and four-year-old Eugene - wed in 2007 after meeting in a stage production the previous year but their separation was announced this March.

Whilst the pair got matching tattoos shortly after their wedding, Billie has previously expressed regret over the inking, calling it 'disgusting' and 'vulgar'.

A source told The Sun at the end of March: 'Billie has talked about getting the tattoo removed recently.

'She hadn't told many people there were problems with her and Laurence so many were surprised she'd want to laser it off.

'Now they’ve announced the split it makes more sense. She’s often had to cover it up with make- up for work anyway.'

Meanwhile, Laurence reportedly dedicated a song about a warring couple to his ex-wife's mother whilst performing at a gig in Manchester.

The Mirror reports he introduced his song So Be Damned by saying: 'This is a song about my soon to be ex-mother-in-law. I s**t you not...I've got beef with her, man.'

MailOnline have contacted a representative for Billie and Laurence for comment.

In a statement released by the pair on Thursday, the pair said they had 'nothing but respect' for each other as they prepared to move on following their divorce.

The statement read: 'Billie and Laurence wish to clarify that the legal wording referred to in connection with today's reported Decree Nisi is the closest option English law currently offers to a timely no fault divorce.

'They will continue to co parent their children with the utmost mutual respect for each other. Billie and Laurence appeal for privacy at this time.'
