The first pictures of the mangled wreckage from EgyptAir flight 804 has emerged as investigators confirm smoke was detected in multiple places moments before the plane plummeted into the Mediterranean. The plane's twisted blue metal panelling, marked with EgyptAir branding as well as items of clothing and yellow lift jackets have been recovered from the sea, where investigators continue to search for the wreckage. Egyptian media have also reported that divers have found the blackbox between 3 and 4 nautical miles from the crash site.

The Anglins family claims they fled to Brazil (whre they are purportedly pictured, Clarence left and John right) and started a new life there.

Prince also received intravenous treatment at a local hospital and saw a physician at Paisley Park (bottom right) the day before he died, sources told the Tribune. Kornfeld's son Andrew Kornfeld (top right) took a red-eye flight and arrived at the Chanhassen, Minnesota estate for a preliminary evaluation only to call 911 at 9.43am on April 21 when Prince's body was found, sources said. Autopsy reports determining the cause of death are still pending.

A massive 65,000-pound space shuttle external propellant tank is moving through the streets of Los Angeles to join a display of the retired orbiter Endeavour at the California Science Center. The big move began at 12.01am Saturday and is expected to take 13 to 18 hours to squeeze down 16½ miles of streets from Marina del Rey on the coast to the center downtown. The tank's trek was expected to be not quite as difficult as when the 122-foot-long Endeavour, with a wingspan of 78 feet, was similarly hauled 12 miles to the center from Los Angeles International Airport. The tank, known as ET-94, is the last surviving external propellant tank. It was never used on a shuttle but it will join the retired shuttle Endeavour on display at the museum.

A veteran and the cat he looked after in Iraq had the purr-fect reunion at Los Angeles International Airport. Navy reservist Brad VanCleave crossed paths with the feline, known as Mr. Meowgi, at the Baghdad International Airport, where VanCleave was a government contractor. VanCleave said he and others who fed the cats constructed 'a shelter made from used aircraft tires and old pallets' for Mr. Meowgi and his mother, who would go on to abandon her kitten. VanCleave learned about a SPCA International program that reunites people with pets they looked after during deployments and contacted them. The group was behind Mr. Meowgi's trip home. The cat with live with the VanCleaves and the family's cat and dog.

An adorable video shows a tickle fight between a naturalist and a bear. Casey Anderson, who founded the Montana Grizzly Encounter sanctuary, appears in the video with a grizzly bear named 'Bella.' During their playful tussle, Anderson is seen rubbing Bella's feet. 'Tickle, tickle, I got your toes,' he says. At one point in the clip, Anderson even scoops Bella up off of the ground.

The reptile, named Freddy, was found in a bad way by vets in Brazil with his shell completely destroyed (left), things were looking bleak but thankfully a group of superhero surgeons came to his aid. The cohort, known as the Animal Avengers, built Freddy a new hull by using 3D printed prosthetic with pieces that slotted together like a jigsaw(top right and bottom right). Vet Cicero Moraes, said: 'Freddy was the first tortoise in the world to receive a fully rebuilt hull and the first creature that we, as a newly formed group of animal rescuers, decided to help.'
