'Lonely' mother who struggled to talk to new people after giving birth creates Tinder style app to make new friends
- Sarah Hesz, 34, and Katie Massie-Taylor, 33, have launched a new app
- The free app, called Mush, helps mothers make friends in their local area
- The mothers, from south west London, struggled to meet new people
- They took inspiration from popular dating apps, such as Tinder
A 'lonely' mother who struggled to talk to strangers while she was bringing up her two young children has created a revolutionary app to help parents make new friends.
Sarah Hesz, 34, was craving adult conversation after she gave birth to her second child but found it hard to approach other mothers because she was 'shy'.
However, Mrs Hesz, from East Sheen, south west London, finally plucked up the courage to chat to Katie Massie-Taylor, 33, who had two children the same age as hers.
The pair became close and after one 'manic meal' at Pizza Express with the four children, they came up with an idea which would 'make life easier for mums'.

The innovative mothers have now launched Mush, a free app which was created after the pair took inspiration from dating apps such as Tinder.
More than 5,000 mothers have signed up to the app in the first few weeks in a bid to make more friends.
Mothers simply need to upload a photograph, add key information such as their name, where they live, the ages of their children and a little bit about themselves.
They will then find out if mothers who have signed up to the app live in their local area.
Mrs Hesz, who has a three-year-old daughter called Rosie and a son called Leo, one, felt lonely after giving birth to her second child and wanted to make new friends.
She told MailOnline: 'It should be really easy to make more friends when you are a mother. But the reality is, it isn't.
'I met my business partner Katie when I just had my second baby and I hadn't had any sleep for weeks.
'But one day I went up to Katie in the school playground and asked her for her number, which was quite unusual as I'm quite shy.
'But when you have children you can become very lonely.
'You need a lot of friends to keep you sane and get you through the tough times.'
The two friends kept in touch and Mrs Hesz would take her two children with her whenever she met up with Katie.

The pair became close and after one manic meal at Pizza Express with the four children, they came up with an idea which would 'make life easier for mums'
She added: 'We went to Pizza Express with the kids and the meal was manic, I remember we were talking about how it should not this hard to make friends with other mums - we then came up with the idea of the app.
'The app is free and it tells you which mums are living in the nearby area and it also says how old their children are.
'I think it's important that mothers can make friends with women who have children with similar ages.
'While using the app, mothers can group chat and arrange to meet up with people they have matched with.
'I believe that happy mothers make happy children and I feel incredibly passionate about the app.
'When you have your first baby you lose your identity a little bit and you need other mums around to help you.
'It can feel quite awkward asking another mum for her telephone number, so the app can certainly help with that.

'It's also important to make friends with other mums to learn about what schools are good in the area and you can also learn other tips about parenting.'
Mrs Hesz, who used to be a deputy managing director at an advertising agency in London, said her husband Alex, 33, supports the app and is pleased when she makes friends.
She added: 'Weeks can become a bit boring and repetitive, so having someone to go to the park with, for example, makes it more interesting and more enjoyable.
'Katie and I definitely took inspiration from other dating apps, such as Tinder, but obviously our app is quite different as it was created just so mums can make friends.
'People are meeting each other online and it is all becoming very natural to meet people on the internet.'
The women have entered the Virgin Media Business Voom 2016 competition with hopes of reaching the final for a chance to pitch to Sir Richard Branson.
