But somehow Chloe Grace Moretz and Brooklyn Beckham managed to find a way to get even closer, as they donned matching checked slip-on shoes for a quick shopping trip in Beverly Hills on Thursday.

Chloe, 19, opted to keep her outfit casual for the low-key outing, and sported a pale burgundy pullover, black jeans with fraying cuffs and the aforementioned black and white checked shoes.

Brooklyn, 17, also decided on a simple, laid-back outfit, which featured khakis and a vintage Bruce Springsteen tank top.

His hair was perfectly coiffed and slicked back with gel.

The couple appeared to be having a ball, as they were both seen flashing smiles at each other while they tried out different methods of holding hands.

Chloe does seem to be absolutely smitten with not only Brooklyn, but the entire Beckham clan, as she revealed to The Edit.

Explaining her views on the Brooklyn's close-knit family - David, Victoria, Romeo, Cruz and Harper - the Neighbors 2 star said they had a down-to-earth attitude.

'[The Beckhams] are a great family,' she gushed. 'They don’t tout their money either.'

And it seems that Brooklyn might just be Mr. Right when it comes to the long-term for the Carrie star, as she explained the budding photographer and his family are able to relate to her work and commitments.

With her career as a rising Hollywood star calling for her to move towards more adult roles and themes, she said being a relationship with a fellow celebrity seemed to work better.

'They’d [the family] understand the travel, the sex scenes with random people, the crazy schedule,' she said.
