Oozing elegance, the blonde beauty opted for a vibrant canary yellow gown that showed off her incredible figure - nipping in at her tiny waist and flaring out with a dramatic train.

Featuring layers of tulle, the ruffled neckline added yet more glamour to the satin dress which was embroidered with black flowers along the hem.

Disproving the myth that blondes shouldn't yellow, the Fargo star wore her golden locks loose and tousled, styled in ringlets that framed her pretty face.

Shine like the sun in Maison Margiela couture like Kirsten

Kirsten Dunst is one of the most experienced actresses in Hollywood, making an impressive contribution in Interview with a Vampire at only twelve years of age. The Hollywood actress reminded us of her red carpet habit, stepping out during the Cannes film festival wearing a canary yellow Maison Margiela gown with lace appliques. Bold Kirsten, but we like it!

Let Kirsten inspire you, as yellow’s bright and fun allure stands out among boring black. We’re defo considering yellow for our wedding receptions and other glamorous events this summer, as this hue looks great with a tan!

We can only dream of Kirsten’s gown from Maison Margiela which isn’t available to buy online, but head over to Net-a-Porter’s website to shop the brand’s current collection (right). If you’re feeling yellow is the way to go, then scroll below for our sunny edit of high street options!

As one of the jurors at the esteemed film festival, Kirsten ensured she nailed every element of her ensemble, sporting soft make-up that complemented her gown.

Framing her baby blue eyes with a sweep of mascara, she wore a slick of rosy gloss on her plump pout whilst a swathe of rouge accentuated her defined cheekbones.

Fellow juror Mads Mikkelsen acted as her date for the evening, and seemed in great spirits as he wrapped a hand around the pretty blonde's waist.
