Victoria Beckham was a guest of honour at best friend Eva Longoria's Mexican wedding to José 'Pepe' Baston on Saturday.

And the following morning the 42-year-old shared a photo with the blushing bride on Instagram.

The picture showed newlywed Eva - wearing the stunning white gown Victoria designed for her - kicking her leg in the air while cuddling the former Spice Girl.

Eva's specially designed dress clung to her petite but curvy figure and boasted a sweetheart neckline on the bodice top.  

Meanwhile Victoria, whose husband David was also in attendance, showed off her signature pout while sporting a strapless black dress.

'Congratulations @evalongoria The smartest, most beautiful woman I have ever met. I feel honored to call you my friend,' she wrote in the caption.

'X Such a wonderful day filled with Love X We love Pepe so much!!! @davidbeckham #blessed #toomuchtequilla #omgmyfeethurt #inlovewithmexico.'

It pays to have friends in high places. You'll often spot Eva Longoria in pieces from her good friend Victoria Beckham's eponymous collection so it was no big shock that she tapped the pop singer turned designer to craft her wedding dress.

The stunning white gown had all of the markings of a VB original - a flattering cut, understated elegance, and just a hint of sex appeal with the sweetheart neckline.

In the image, the pair were standing in front of the altar, which featured a large white cross and rose-covered archway under a canopy of fairy lights.

Eva, 41, and her 47-year-old husband married at a private residence in the lakeside town of Valle de Bravo, according to People. 

The actress wore her brunette locks down and in soft curls, while the groom sported a grey three-piece suit.

The morning after the wedding, Eva posted an Instagram photo of her and Pepe's wedding rings and place cards.

She wrote in the caption: 'In our garden, surrounded by a small gathering of people we love, Pepe and I tied the knot! #TalkAboutBlessed #ImStillFloating #OmgMyFeetHurt.'

This is Eva's third marriage. She was previously married to General Hospital star Tyler Christopher from 2002 to 2004, and then to NBA pro Tony Parker from 2007 to 2011.
