Claire Danes packs a punch in Homeland and on the jogging trail.

But even this fitness enthusiast paled beside her energetic and bare-chested husband Hugh Dancy as the couple enjoyed a vigorous run along Santa Monica Beach on Saturday.

Claire was huffing and puffing while clad in blue patterned leggings and a strapless top, her brows knotted in concentration.

The actress' fair skin glowed with perspiration and wisps of hair blew across her damp cheeks despite the tight topknot.

Every movement required every muscle as the pair padded along the boardwalk in the bright California sunshine.

English-born Hugh flaunted his muscular torso as he jogged easily by his wife's side.

Claire Danes may have a hectic schedule, including having a Cinderella moment at the Met Gala, but that sure hasn't stopped her from getting her workout in. The actress was spotted out for a run in her favorite brand, Asics.

Hugh had a smile on his face as he hopped on a cement divider and continued his fitness show, balancing with arms outstretched.

Claire would have none of that and continued on down the pavement, casting a glance now and then at the sparkling blue ocean.

The couple decided to leave the beach and cut a path towards town, and Claire still had the stamina to do a set of push-ups on the sidewalk.

On May 2, Claire looked fit and fabulous at the Met Gala in New York City where she lit up the room - literally - in a Cinderella-style Zac Posen gown.

The ice-blue organza material was lit up with the help of 30 battery packs so that once inside the ball it glowed in the dark.

Meanwhile, The Homeland actress is currently at work on season six of her gritty Showtime series Homeland, which will air in autumn.
