A teenage prankster who ran out with England players during their first Euro 2016 training session was today revealed to be an 18-year-old radio DJ.

Harry Peak, of Tavistock, Devon, was at the centre of a security scare at England's training centre St George's Park when staff noticed him warming up alongside stars including Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling.

Only days after the bomb scare at Old Trafford the young man, who is the son of a wealthy Club Wembley member, was spotted by chief physiotherapist Gary Lewin before being escorted from St George's Park by security staff.

Today Peak, who until recently presented a weekend youth radio show on local station Pirate FM, was suspended by the station as he took an A-level Media Studies examination.

Pirate FM's Managing Director, Mark Peters, said: 'Harry is a maverick presenter - but it would appear he has taken things too far.

'We were exploring other avenues following the broadcast of the last edition of the Youth Show on DAB station Pirate 2.

'But we are suspending him while we investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident at the England training ground.'

Mr Peters said Peak and his sister Jess had been employed by the station on a part-time basis for the last 18 months but their programme - The Youth Show - had recently come to an end.

On Wednesday, Peak apologised via Twitter for the stunt, saying: 'My intentions were not to embarrass anyone or cause concern.

'Upon entering the pitch I identified myself to England players so they knew I wasn't a threat, and as soon as I was asked to leave I did so.'

Peak is the son of dentist Jeremy Peak, who owns dental surgeries in Truro and Plymouth and claims to be 'the man behind Tom Daley’s winning smile'.

The teenager was at the national football centre as a 'bonafide guest' who had to sign in, was provided with a wristband and invited along with other official visitors to get autographs at the end of the session.

It is believed he was allowed to attend the session due to his father's connection with Club Wembley, and was filmed by pals during the prank.

Earlier in the afternoon, Peak had been seen in the on-site hotel dressed in his England kit.

The players were taking a drinks break when he ran towards the area Hodgson had been occupying and began to have a kick-about. A sharp-eyed Lewin shouted for him to get off the field and did as requested, although not before taking a shot at goal – only to miss.

It was only then, once he was sat back in the stand, that he was confronted by security staff and asked to leave.

In a statement the FA said: 'The person in question was the son of an invited Club Wembley member who had to follow a formal registration process on entry to St George's Park.

'The FA were aware of his identity and we will take the appropriate action in due course as a result of this unacceptable behaviour.'

It is possible Peak's father will lose his Club Wembley membership as a result for making an already challenging first day for Hodgson all the more farcical.
