'I gave him the green light to sleep around': Mother whose libido faded after giving birth reveals why she allows her husband to cheat on her - and wants ALL the details 

A woman whose libido disappeared after giving birth to two children has revealed how she let her husband sleep with other women - and he took her up on the offer. 

Amy Jones, 30, from Leeds says her passion for her husband Ryan Jones, 32, a builder, fizzled out after she had her children but that an open relationship where he can go and sleep with other women has helped keep their relationship going. 

Amy, a seamstress, says that caring for a newborn left her so exhausted that sex was the last thing on her mind but that she hopes giving her man a green card to sleep with others will keep him happy until her sex drive returns.

Amy says that while she loves her husband, she doesn't want to sleep with him or anyone and has allowed him to have sex with other women while she waits for her libido to return

The spark has gone: While Amy is very much in love with Ryan, her passion for daily sex has dwindled

Amy says: 'I know if couples keep to strict rules it can get you through trying times and the arrangement can make you love each other even more when your sex drives return.'

She explains: 'In my case it was giving birth and the exhaustion of caring for a new baby that turned my sex drive from on to off.'

'Up until the birth we'd have sex once a day but after birth a switch went off. It was like I suddenly had no interest in sex and my sex drive had ground to a halt,' explains the pretty brunette.

However, this is not a first time Amy and her builder husband have taken a unique approach to their failing self life.

Amy says: 'When our first daughter was born the same thing happened. I went from being totally into sex to finding it a burden and having no sex drive.'

She adds: 'I met Ryan when I was 14 and I have loved him ever since. Every day I am grateful he is my man. We're a loving wonderful family and when I had our first daughter I was shocked at the loss of interest in sex. I was overwhelmed with nappies, feedings and getting used to be a mum.' 

'Ryan has always been a hands-on dad but we believe in openly discussing all our issues,' she explains.

She said when he tried to make love one night, she simply told him she wasn't interested. 

'I felt wracked with grief and fear he'd leave me. I didn't want to disappoint my man but at the same time I had a baby that needed care. Ryan was shocked and thought it was his fault and kept asking me what he'd done wrong,' she remembers.

'I knew Ryan loved me and wanted our family to grow so I said to him he could have sex with another woman or sext girls but only if he kept to my rules,' she says.

How did Ryan feel? He says he was 'shocked at first but she kept pushing and for me it was about a release.'

Amy gave her then partner the okay to sleep with a woman once - and once only - and then move on to another woman. 

She had to OK who it was, be assured he wouldn't keep in contact with her and know exactly what happened.

And Saira Khan surprised the ITV programme's viewers last week by revealing she has lost her sex drive and does everything in her power to avoid sleeping with her husband Steven Hyde.

The 46-year-old presenter then made the startling revelation that she has given her partner permission to sleep with another woman as she can no longer satisfy him in the bedroom.

Saira - who was the runner-up on the first series of The Apprentice in 2005 - confessed: 'I'm 46, I have a busy life and have two kids. I am so lucky.

'We used to have a fantastic sex life. I still love my husband, we cuddle up and it's lovely. We've been together for 11 years, but I'm not interested [in sex]. I don't want to.

'I've lost the desire and I find myself making excuses from around 6pm. 

The TV personality went on to admit she tried every trick in the book to avoid a tryst with her husband, until she finally fessed up and told him he should sleep with another woman.

She explained: 'The other day, I was dressed up to go out and he told me I looked nice and I was like, "Thanks!", and ran out of the door.

'As soon as he comes home, I panic and start saying, "I'm so tired!". I'm embarrassed to say this but I said to him you can go with someone esle if you want.

'I want to make him happy. He'll kill me for saying this... Am I the only one?'

Amy recalls: 'I insisted naturally on safe sex and also said he could sext girls but would have to show me his phone and let me check his emails and texts and Facebook messages.'

'For me it was a 'love trust agreement'. I knew we loved each other, I couldn't provide something another woman could and as long as we both worked by the rules it would work. This arrangement is a true test of love,' she explains.

During Amy's first loss of sex drive, Ryan slept with two women once and sexted two others.

He says: 'I gave Amy all the details. It felt weird at first but for her it showed she could trust me. I felt like I was cheating but the way we shared the experience helped dilute that feeling.'

Amy's sex drive returned 12 months after the birth of her first daughter and the couple went back to their daily sex sessions.

'The relief I wasn't leaving my man "hanging" and denying him pleasure was great and when we did start having sex again I felt like a virgin.'

When the couple's second child was born prematurely on the 12th of November last year, Amy says when she finally came home for hospital the same loss of sex drive hit her. 

While Ryan has slept with two other women, he's also sexted two, with Amy curious as to how the encounters unfold

'I wasn't suffering from post-natal depression; I was just overloaded with looking after a new-born and a ten year old. I told him in January that he could see other women as long as he kept the rules we had the last time.'

This time around Amy said he had to use a dating app, let her approve the women and I'd have the same access to his phone and emails and he could only have sex with one women once. 

'I wasn't willing to allow any relationship to develop,' she says.

'Post pregnancy I lost my sex drive and it's my view my husband shouldn't suffer. 

'I know people will say but "you're in this together and for better and for worse" but my view is if we trust each other so much and it's worked before what's the harm!

'I wasn't forced into it and Ryan's got a high sex drive. If I don't have a problem with it why should anyone else?'

Amy says when she heard Saira Khan talk about her problems she felt inspired to share her story.

'A couple of my mates know about my arrangement with my husband and that's it. I just hope people can see if you discuss it normally and stick to rules it can work.

The couple say they don't view this as cheating. To them it is simply a way of dealing with a sex issue in practical terms.
