A moment comes for everyone where the urge to dance just takes over.

For Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew that was on the Wembley Stadium touchline, in front of the television cameras and an audience of millions.

Jason Puncheon sent Palace fans into delirium with the FA Cup final opener and moments later his boss was showing off his moves

Puncheon struck on 78 minutes to put Palace ahead at Wembley and manager Pardew couldn't resist a little jig on the touchline.

After losing the game Pardew said: 'I enjoyed that moment! In a Cup final and as a manager it’s difficult to enjoy moments. If you forgive me for my dance, it’s just because I enjoyed it.'

The former West Ham and Newcastle United boss roared with delight before sauntering back towards his bench with some celebratory swagger.

Starting with his arms outstretched, Pardew could then be seen twisting his arms around in front of his chest in scenes better suited to a night out in Croydon than the Wembley touchline.

Viewers commentating on Twitter were unimpressed though, with Joey Barton among Pardew's biggest critics.

'Actually wanted Palace to win till Pardew did that dance...,' the Burnley midfielder tweeted.

'Such a smug thing to do that. Dance. As a manager after a goal. Nah. Hope to see him crying after the game. Pity cos I don't mind Pards.

'There just the rules. If you dance like a smug git, you deserve nowt but tears of defeat. Real painful ones...'

United midfielder Juan Mata even asked Morgan Schneiderlin whether Pardew had really danced after he was substituted.

Pardew's joy was short-lived, though, with Juan Mata grabbing the equaliser just three minutes later.

Opposite number Louis van Gaal resisted matching Pardew's moves, instead going with a more-muted celebration.

Pardew is not the first Barclays Premier League manager to be spotted dancing as if nobody was watching, though.

Recently-sacked Everton boss Roberto Martinez was famously caught on camera cutting some moves during a Jason Derulo concert in February.
