Brad to the rescue! Pitt turns superhero as he pulls little girl to safety from surging crowd at Gran Canaria set of his spy WWII drama Allied

He is the doting father to six children in his day-to-day life.

And it seems Brad Pitt’s paternal instincts kicked in as he was pictured saving a young girl as she was getting crushed by an excited crowd of fans.

The Hollywood star, who is currently filming his new film Allied in Gran Canaria, instantly rushed to assist with the efforts to pull the young fan to safety as excited spectators tried desperately to get his attention.

The 52-year-old star was dressed in his dapper costume as he reached over to help the girl climb over the fence and out of harm’s way.

He was then seen comforting the shaken child as she was held in the arms of another man from the set.

Brad’s co-star Marion Cotillard was not present at the moment the scary incident took place but the French actress has also been filming in Las Palmas for the WWII thriller.

Allied, set in 1942, is based on the true story about two assassins who fall in love during a war mission.

The previously untitled film sees Max Vatan, fall in love with Marianne Beausejour during a mission to kill a German ambassador holed up in Casablanca.

According to uinterview, 'the two ultimately marry and start a family – but Max soon learns that Marianne is likely a Nazi spy'.

Pitt also stars alongside Mean Girls actress Lizzy Caplan and Downton Abbey's Matthew Goode in the war drama, directed by Robert Zemeckis.

Brad famously starred to spy comedy Mr & Mrs Smith alongside his now-wife Angeline Jolie.

The pair played a bored married couple are surprised to learn that they are both assassins hired by competing agencies to kill each other.

Brad shares Maddox, 14, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, nine, Vivienne and seven-year-old twin Knox, with his actress wife.
