Vicky Pattison credits surviving on rations and ditching junk food on I'm A Celebrity for her weight loss

  • Geordie Shore star, 28, won jungle reality show in 2015
  • Said she craved fruit and eggs rather than doughnuts and pizza
  • It taught her the importance of giving the body the right foods
  • Said all camp mates experienced 'epiphany' over how much they overate

She was crowned Queen of the Jungle in 2015, but Vicky Pattison left the Australian outback with more than just a crown.

The former Geordie Shore star, 28, has revealed that her stint in the Australian Jungle taught her a major weight loss secret.

After craving fruit and eggs while surviving on rations, rather than junk food, the reality TV regular is now convinced that if you don't overeat and listen to what your body wants you can't go wrong.

Look pretty in pink with Vicky's printed midi skirt

During her Geordie Shore days, Vicky Pattison might not have been considered a fashion icon but since leaving the ‘I'm a Celeb’ jungle, the reality star and presenter has been wowing in the style stakes.

And because of that, Vicky's making a bit of a name for herself in terms of fashion design too, seeing as she's designed her own clothing collection for online fashion retailer Honeyz, and now has a range of swimwear for high street brand Ann Summers. Posing at the launch of her lingerie line this week, Vicky looked summer ready in a cute pink and white ensemble and we're majorly crushing on that pastel hounds tooth skirt. Both the skirt and top are from Vicky's VIP collection at Honeyz and available to buy on their website. Click right to snap up the skirt and complete the look with the top below.

Pastel colours are always a winner for the warmer months and this pleated full skirt will look great at an occasion such as a wedding or day at the races! To shop similar styles, check out our edit of pretty pink midi skirts below. Our favourite is the stripe version at Rare London!

'We realised how much we over-ate before we went in,' she told The Sun. 'You appreciate everything you’ve got in there. If we saw a mango or a banana it was the best thing ever.

'Your body craves what it needs. I didn’t crave pizza or doughnuts, I craved omelettes and fruit, and this made me realise how important it is to feed your body the right things.'

Vicky has made no secret of her struggle to slim down, admitting in 2014 that she'd let her strict regime slip in favour of enjoying boozy nights on the town.

However, she felt in good shape going into the Australian jungle and said she could not have done it if she wasn't in good shape.

The Geordie brunette admitted that tasks such as carrying logs or walking 15 minutes to fetch water would have been 'impossible' if she hadn't been fit.

And she said that her role as a 'girl power figure' in the camp who could lift heavy weights gave her a sense of achievement.

However, Vicky and her fellow contestant Ferne McCann came under scrutiny for their figures for all the wrong reasons as they took part in the reality contest.

Eagle-eyed viewers pointed out that the girls' figures did not look as perfect in the jungle as they did in modelling campaigns, questioning whether they had been overly retouched.

However, fans leapt to their defence saying it was refreshing to see 'real girls' with normal bodies on TV as opposed to super skinny models.

And Vicky certainly had the last laugh when she was crowned Queen of the Jungle by the public - a feat she says she couldn't have achieved before losing weight.
