Look gorgeous in green like Rihanna this season

With the Cannes Film Festival coming to an end we were worried we'd seen the last of the glamorous red carpets for a while.

So thank goodness for the Billboard Awards which took place last night. With stars like Britney Spears, Heidi Klum, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Alba and Madonna all in attendance it was guaranteed to be a showstopping event.

And let's not forget Rihanna who wore vintage Theirry Mugler before changing into this gorgeous green gown from Dries Van Noten's AW16 collection. We love the slinky slip style with its slender straps and contrasting gold neckline. It's actually the perfect look for the summer months so it's a shame it won't be available to us mere mortals for a while.

Until then why not either shop the current collection at Browns (right) or recreate RiRi's look with our edit of green maxis below. ASOS, Vix and Missoni Mare have all got chic options that'll do the trick.

The Barbadian beauty is wearing a sheer green zebra-patterned maxi dress with gold detailing along the plunging neckline and gold spaghetti straps.

The event in Las Vegas was a big night for both Rihanna and Rene Charles.

The 15-year-old, who has younger twin brothers Nelson and Eddy, five, moved his mother to tears when he came on stage to present her with Billboard's Icon award.

His father René Angelil, 73, died in January after a long battle with cancer and the teen made headlines when he gave the eulogy at the funeral in Quebec.

Celine, who had just performed Queen's The Show Must Go On, was overcome with emotion as her eldest son walked out on stage and the crowd gave her a standing ovation.

'I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for crying. I want to be so strong for my family and kids,' she told the crowd.

'I don't want to cry in front of you,' she then said to René-Charles.

The 48-year-old star continued: 'Thank you very much. This is such a tremendous honor. Music has been my passion since before I can almost remember.'

Meanwhile, Rihanna was honored with another of the night's big trophies -  the fan-voted Billboard Chart Achievement Award.

'Thank you guys for being so supportive. Billboard thank you so much, we've had an incredible relationship so far all these years. I'm blessed and feel very lucky to be up here receiving this award right now so thank you guys,' she said.

Earlier, the singer had performed her new single Love On The Brain while wearing a black off-the-shoulder outfit with a mint green fur draped across her shoulders.

On Monday, it was announced that Big Sean will serve as her opening act on the European leg of her Anti Tour, which kicks off on June 17. The series of concerts will include appearances at several summer music festivals in the UK, Belgium and Finland.
