Two Can Play That Game! Bobby Brown poses beside the young actor who will portray him in BET's New Edition miniseries

He first rose to fame as part of R&B band New Edition, which reached the height of its popularity in the 1980s.

And on Sunday Bobby Brown showed off a smile as he posed beside the young man who will be portraying him in BET's upcoming miniseries based on the group's origins.

The 47-year-old seemed to be in good spirits as he was spotted outside of Madeo restaurant Hollywood where he stopped for a photo with New Edition: The Movie actor Woody McClain.

He also sported a loose-fitting, white T-shirt, as well as a pair of white sneakers, and a grey baseball cap.

Woody showed off a big grin and gave the thumbs up sign as he stood beside the New Edition alum, wearing a fitted, white T-shirt and grey sweatpants.

It will be directed by Chris Robinson, executive produced by Jesse Collins of Real Husbands of Hollywood, and co-produced by Brooke Payne (the manager who originally gave them the name New Edition), as well as the members of the group: Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe, Ralph Tresvant, Johnny Gill, and Bobby.

Two weeks ago Bobby shared a snap from on set of the upcoming feature, showing off a chair with his name on it, which he captioned: 'On the set new edition movie BET#NE4LIFE.'

His onscreen counterpart has also documented the filming for social media, sharing a snap beside Bobby that he captioned: 'Uncle B.'

He also shared a photo alongside the rest of his New Edition co-stars, with the guys all standing in poses that resembled the original group.

New Edition: The Movie is set to air on BET some time in 2017.
