He's used to making a splash in the US - so taking a ride on a log flume was the perfect way for Prince Harry to relax.

The Prince was pictured screaming with joy and waving his arms in the air as he plummeted down Splash Mountain at Disney World in Florida.

Harry was in Orlando for the 2016 Invictus Games, a multi-sports tournament for armed forces veterans who have suffered life-changing injuries during their service.

His turn on the famous flume came 23 years after he was pictured on the same ride as an eight-year-old with brother William and mother Diana in 1993.

The Prince is said to have been at the park for around an hour with a group of friends, including three women.

Speaking on US television, he said it was a 'fantastic' visit which brought back 'happy memories'.

At the time of his previous visit, the royal siblings were photographed sitting in the front of a log on the Splash Mountain ride, with their security detail sitting behind them, while the Princess of Wales was spied deep in conversation with another woman in the back seat.

They were also joined on the rip by Diana's close friends Katie Menzies and Catherine Soames and Soames' nine-year-old son, Harry.

As well as the water ride, the family reportedly took in the Country Bear Jamboree, the Jungle Cruise and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad rollercoaster.

The Invictus Games brought 400 athletes from 14 different countries to Orlando. It was the second time the event was staged after the inaugural games in London in 2014.

The moment of the games came when US Army Sergeant Elizabeth Marks asked the Prince to take a gold medal she had won in the pool to Cambridge's Papworth Hospital which saved her life on the eve of her competing in the London Invictus Games.

The army medic later wept as she thanked the doctors who treated her.

A team from the hospital saved her life when she became gravely ill with a lung infection ahead of the first Invictus Games in London in 2014.

Sgt Marks and the Prince appeared to strike up an immediate bond and as Harry presented her with the medal, he grasped Elizabeth, who's now based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, around the shoulders while she laid her hands on his elbows before kissing both cheeks.
