Mark Wright rings in first wedding anniversary with 'perfect' wife Michelle Keegan... days after her passionate kiss with Our Girl co-star

They wed in an idyllic ceremony one year ago today. 

And Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan opted to ring in their wedding anniversary a few days early as they enjoyed a getaway at Pennyhill Park spa in Surrey over the weekend. 

The 29-year-old TOWIE hunk took to Instagram to share a picture of the break with his bride, 28, who was seen kissing her co-star during scenes in her forthcoming stint in Our Girl just days before.

Mark was evidently having a wonderful time with his beautiful wife, as he shared an image of his stunning surroundings alongside a plate with 'Happy anniversary' scrawled in chocolate sauce.

Sharing the snap with his 1.1million followers, he added the gushing caption: 'Incredible anniversary weekend The most perfect time in the most perfect place with the most perfect person...'

While the handsome TV star, who soared to fame in the 2010 inauguration of the ITVBe show, was extremely vocal about their celebrations, Michelle's shared a throwback snap to their wedding. 

The loved-up pair were pictured from behind as they stood in their wedding outfits, with Michelle writing: '❤️ One year today...❤️ 24.5.15 #M&M.'   

The stunning former Coronation Street star also shared an image while sipping a cocktail, adding the caption: 'My love for weekends...!!!'

Just days before their getaway, Michelle was seen throwing herself into filming - this time locking lips with her hunky co-star - scenes Mark no doubt struggled to watch. 

Further Our Girl romance scenes included Michelle walking up the aisle in a stunning wedding dress, filmed just a week before her anniversary to her real life husband.

She has just returned from a prolonged stint filming in South Africa, for the show in which she plays Corporal Georgie Lane in the second series where she has replaced Lacey Turner in the lead. 

The couple's happy anniversary celebrations come as a defiant display since they have been plagued with rumours of strife in their marriage for some time.  

Speculation had been rife that the couple split after Michelle was spied failing to wear her ring in several snaps, but it's reported she had kept the diamond in a safe place.

A source told The Sun: 'Michelle left her wedding ring at home in her safe because she was scared of losing it while filming.'

It had been rumoured her marriage to Mark was on the rocks after the actress was spotted without her wedding ring in a series of selfies during filming Our Girl in South Africa.

The situation was only worsened by a previous story from New! magazine that claimed the Heart presenter was concerned when fans linked Michelle to her handsome actor Ben Aldridge, who Michelle stars alongside in the upcoming drama.

Michelle had innocently shared a group picture with some of the cast at their read through which was captioned: ‘Me and some of the boys at our cast read through for Our Girl 2! X’

But a representative for Mark told MailOnline: 'It's a completely fabricated and made up story written by people desperate for content.'

Michelle is currently focused on her role in military drama 'Our Girl', a role she has taken over from Lacey Turner, and thinks it will show fans a different side to what they saw when she played Tina McIntyre on 'Coronation Street'.

She told Closer magazine: "It's such a contrast to anything I've done before, it's so active. I watched 'Our Girl' when Lacey Turner was in it and loved it. You'll get to see me in a totally different light."
