'I lost my personality when I lost the weight': Josie Gibson claims she ran out of things to say after dropping from size 20 to size 8... but she STILL suffers from 'fat fear'

She lost ten stone in less than a year after winning Big Brother in 2010.

But reality star Josie Gibson has admitted that her well-documented weight loss hasn't been plain sailing.

The 31-year-old blonde went from a size 20 to a size 8 by replacing takeaways and processed foods with fruit, vegetables and lean meat.

Speaking to Closer magazine, the Big Brother star said: 'I lost my personality when I lost the weight. I've always been funny, but I hadn't realised I used to crack jokes about being big. So all of a sudden I just didn't have anything to say.'

And the Bristol-born beauty, who lost over six stone in a year before launching her own weight loss site, also admitted she suffers from 'fat fear'.

Josie said: 'I do things now that would be unthinkable when I was big! I do get 'fat fear' and weigh myself every morning as I;m so scared about putting the weight back on.

'People say it's unhealthy but it keeps me on track.'

Last month Josie appeared on Good Morning Britain, calling for awareness on obesity to be raised.

Speaking to hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shepherd, Josie revealed that despite previously being branded 'Free Willy' on Twitter, she wishes her friends had been more honest about her weight.

She said: 'I did not realise how big I was,' she said. 'And people used to say to me, "You're not fat!" but I obviously was.

'I know they were just trying to save my feelings. But they weren't helping me. If one of my friends ever asked me if they had put on weight and they had, I would agree with them.'

The former Big Brother winner also said that more needs to be done to combat food addictions, with the reality star comparing food to 'hardcore Class-A drugs.'

'People need help and support when it comes to addictions. Education is key. The other day, I was at a train station and there was nothing available that I could eat because of the sugar content.

'You have to be a mathematician when it comes to working out sugar content on nutritional labels as cereal is measured to 40g - but who eats 40g of cereal for breakfast?'

But it looks like Josie is finally moving forward with her life, after breaking up with fiancé of four years Luke Sanwo last year.

She told Closer magazine: 'I decided it was time for a change, so I'm planning on going to Bali.

'I love the lifestyle and I'm happy when I'm there.'
