Horrifying footage shows three youths bashing hobby farm chickens and ducks to death with stones and bricks in a brutal fifteen-minute attack

  • They are then seen throwing rocks, sticks and bricks at numerous birds

Three youths have been caught on film throwing rocks, bricks and sticks at farm animals in a horrific attack that lasted fifteen minutes and ended in the death of three ducks and one chicken.

CCTV footage taken at a Maddington hobby farm southeast of Perth,shows three youths jump over a fence and into a bird coop before they pick up random objects and throw them at the birds.

The youths can be seen chasing the birds around a confined space as they try and flee and throwing sticks at them during the attack.

After the attack it was discovered that four birds had been killed, with one chicken impaled on a picket.

RSPCA WA chief inspector Amanda Swift said that the organisation is investigating the incident and appealed for help from the community to identify the youths. 

'We are treating this incident very seriously. Cases of animal cruelty such as this are utterly unacceptable and will not be tolerated.' she said.

'The maximum penalty under the Animal Welfare Act is a $50,000 fine or five years imprisonment.'

RSPCA WA is investigating the 15 minute attack, during which one chicken was impaled by a picket
