But Laura Whitmore swapped roles to lead a host of famous faces at the Northern Ballet '1984' preview night at Sadler's Wells in London on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old dressed to impress in a combo of an elegant pale blue silk blouse and moss green skirt.

She accessorised her look with tan high heel sandals paired with a matching off the shoulder bag and simple jewellery.

Her long blonde highlighted tresses were worn in a relaxed wavy style that fell over her shoulders and highlighted her flawless complexion.

Laura appeared to be in high spirits as she smiled and posed for the cameras and chatted to other guests at the event. 

She was joined for photographs by dancers from the Northern Ballet - Joseph Taylor and Gavin McCaig.

Other stars at the preview included singer Jessie Ware and actor Bertie Carvel.

Jessie wore a typically stylish ensemble comprising an oversized black blazer with matching trousers and quirky shoes teamed with a hot pink handbag.

Bertie went for a typically smart navy suit and a crisp grey shirt and completed his look with understated black shoes.

Celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott and comedian John Bishop were also in attendance at the star-studded opening night.

While Angela Rippon and Maureen Lipman were snapped together enjoying the atmosphere before the show began.
