Demi Lovato has tried out the treatment loved by the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Demi Moore.

The 23-year-old shared a Snapchat video on Tuesday which showed her in a cryotherapy chamber, where temperatures reach as low as -220F.

The treatment is said to burn 800 calories in three minutes and speed up metabolism.

But it also claims to help athletes with their recovery after exercise, which is what Demi was using it for.

The singer and actress captioned the clip 'Rehabbin...' and could be seen giggling as she stated that it was 'so cold' in the chamber.

The previous day, Demi had posted videos from a gruelling workout session at the gym.

Lindsay Lohan has previously tried out cryotherapy to boost her metabolism, while the stars of Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, professional dancer Derek Hough and Demi Moore have also given it a go.

Demi attended the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night, where she turned heads on the red carpet in a lingerie-inspired look.

During the ceremony, she was seated beside her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama and Nick Jonas.

Demi and Nick, also 23, are both co-headlining the Future Now Tour, which kicks off in Atlanta on June 29 and will travel through Canada and the US, finishing up in Los Angeles on September 17.

The Confident hit-maker made a statement during her performance in a top with the symbol for a gender-neutral bathroom printed on it.

Nick and Demi announced in April that they were cancelling their North Carolina shows in Charlotte and Raleigh over the state's bathroom bill that requires people to use restrooms corresponding to the sex on their birth certificates.

The bill has been called the most anti-LGBT legislation in the US and other artists have either cancelled shows or announced a boycott of North Carolina in protest, including Bruce Springsteen, Ringo Starr, Maroon 5 and Pearl Jam.
