'I know, it was crazy because it's something I always wanted to do and that was the intention and kind of getting everything reorganised in my life so it's so fun to know that that's going to be a place I get to be and enjoy and it's new in a way,' she said.

Her latest tour Down Under comes two years after she cancelled her 2014 Stars Dance tour after she fell ill with Lupus and a short stint in rehab.

At the time a representative for Selena revealed she was self-admitted to Dawn at The Meadows recovery centre in Arizona on January 5 [2014], and spent two weeks at the facility, which treats people aged 18 to 26-years-old who are 'struggling with emotional trauma, addiction or dual diagnosis concerns.'

They told MailOnline: 'Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but NOT for substance abuse.'

Despite the statement, Star magazine claimed that the Come And Get It singer was 'heavily into the drug Molly (which contain MDMA)’ and was using prescription drugs like Xanax and Ambien.

Concert promoters LiveNation released a statement from Selena at the time news of her cancelled tour broke, where she explained: 'I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be.'

The full statement read: 'My fans are so important to me and I would never want to disappoint them. But it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be.

'To my fans, I sincerely apologise and I hope you guys know how much each and every one of you mean to me.'
