These shoes are made for walking! Queen Letizia turns heads in towering lace-up heels (as she also dons trousers AND a blazer from the same Spanish designer)

  • The Queen of Spain was attending an international journalism and language seminar in the northern city of Logroño today
  • Letizia, 43, wore an entire outfit from her favourite designer Uterqüe
  • Chatted to young children including one boy who kissed her on the cheek

As someone who's used to being in the spotlight, she certainly knows how to make an impression and today was no exception as Queen Letizia of Spain donned a pair of towering lace-up heels to attend a seminar in Logroño, Spain.

The Spanish royal, 43, turned heads in the striking heels from Spanish designer Uterqüe, which she paired with a blazer from the same designer that she's been spotted in several times before.

The thrifty Queen consort has also worn the same pair of £290 cropped leather 'Nappa' trousers from Uterqüe on several occasions, most recently in April when she held a series of audiences at Madrid's Zarzuela Palace.

Prior to that, she wore them while attending an art fair in the Spanish capital. She has also been spotted in the €100 shoes before while attending a formal engagement in Burgos in September 2015.

Today, Letizia was appearing in the northern city of Logroño to mark the opening of the 11th International Seminar on Language and Journalism.

The mother-of-three, a former journalist and news anchor herself, attended the previous seminar back in October when she spent a great deal of time speaking to young people interested in breaking into the industry.

On this occasion, Letizia - appearing without her husband King Felipe VI - seemed keen to make an impression as she wore her hair in loose curls with a brown smoky eye to meet industry figureheads.

Her outfit today was a welcome return to her normally-impeccable appearance after she appeared in a somewhat unglamorous protective white jacket as she accompanied her husband King Felipe VI, 48, at the Virgen de las Vinas winery in Castilla-La Mancha, central Spain.

The mother-of-two and her husband were given a tour of the cellar where the owners have been producing wine since 1964.
