Kylie Jenner, 18, has officially crossed over to the dark side. The young beauty entrepreneur announced this week that her line of (mostly) neutral liquid lipsticks will soon be joined by an iridescent black shade called Majesty.

The young entrepreneur modeled the mesmerizing hue on her Snapchat, where she noted that it features blue undertones.

While decidedly bold, the forthcoming shade will look right at home next to the many other unconventional lipstick offerings that have recently hit shelves.

Are you afraid of the dark?

If you're feeling the black lip, you don't have to wait for Kylie's creation to go on sale.

Tarte's got a matte black formula aptly titled Naughty, and Katy Perry designed a matte onyx shade for CoverGirl called Perry Panther. You might remember that she wore the shade at the Met Gala earlier this month with bleached eyebrows and a towering updo.

If it's the blue tones in Kylie's Majesty that intrigue you however, take a look at Too Faced's new Melted Matte line which includes Who's Zoomin Who, a striking sapphire.

Taste the neon rainbow.

On the brighter end of the blue spectrum, there's NYX Cosmetics Little Denim Dress, an electric sky hue with a velvet finish.

To dip your toes into the trend, consider MAC's Cloud Gait, a semi-gloss designed in collaboration with fashion designer Chris Chang that adds a pastel turquoise tinge to lips.

This June, Urban Decay is launching a hundred-piece (!) lipstick collection and one of the most head-turning shades is Junkie, a pearlized emerald green. The jewel tone, however, looks wearable in comparison to Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar in Wasabi, which is as the name implies, a lime green that packs a punch.

In the purple family, a berry lip color is, at this point, child's play, but a matte lavender? Now that's something fresh.

At the Cannes Film Festival, Indian actress Aishwarya Rai wore the shade on the red carpet, and it was by far one of the most memorable beauty looks of the two week event. Try Bite Beauty's take on the shade, Lavender Jam, to recreate the eye-catching moment.

Lime Crime's metallic gold Zenon makes the case for using your lipstick as an accessory, while Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Chill Zone, a creamy grey, will make you look like a black and white movie star plucked from the screen.

If you're really feeling adventurous, or you know, are in the mood to channel an ice queen, Maybelline has introduced a satin-y white shade to its Color Sensational collection.

When it comes to lipstick, clearly this summer's motto is, go bold or go home.
