Johnny Depp's daughter Lily-Rose arrived in Los Angeles on Thursday, one day after her famous father was seemingly blindsided by wife Amber Heard's divorce filing.

The teen, who is a model and actress, is close to her dad and it has been suggested that her dislike of his much younger wife was a factor in the break-up of the marriage.

Johnny, 52, also spoke out for the first time on Thursday, issuing a brief statement in which he said he hopes 'the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.'

Headed home: A somber looking Lily-Rose Depp arrived at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday, the day before her 17th birthday and three days after her dad's wife Amber Heard filed for divorce

Lily-Rose, whose mother is Vanessa Paradis, was seen walking through the airport arrivals area clutching a white cell phone.

She wore a red hoodie pulled up over her hair and large-framed sunglasses.

The pretty teen, who has just been named as the face of the new Chanel No. 5 L'Eau, kept herself to herself and walked with arms folded and a serious expression on her face.

Low-key: The teen, who turns 17 on Friday, wore black leggings and shoes paired with a red hoodie that she wore up over her hair and kept her sunglasses on as she walked out of the terminal

Daddy's girl: The famous offspring is the eldest of Johnny's two children with Vanessa Paradis, from whom he split in 2012 after four years together. She has a younger brother Jack, 14

Lily-Rose was likely returning to LA to celebrate her 17th birthday on Friday with her family.

But the celebrations are now likely to be overshadowed not only by her dad's marriage drama, but also by the death a week ago of his beloved mother, and Lily-Rose's grandmother Betty Sue Palmer.

Lily-Rose is the eldest of The Pirates Of The Caribbean star's two children with French actress, singer and model Vanessa, from whom he split in 2012 after 14 years together.

Her younger brother Jack is 14.

Forging her own path: Lily-Rose was recently in Cannes to promote her film The Dancer. She has spent the past year carving out a career of her own as an actress and model

Despite her youth, the teen made her modeling debut in August 2015 for Chanel, following in her model mother's footsteps.

She has also starred in two movies shot during the past year: Planetarium and The Dancer.

Lily-Rose is clearly focused on striking out independently and forging her own path, and at the premiere of his new movie Alice Through The Looking Glass in LA on Monday, her proud father gushed about her talents.

'She's handling it beautifully,' he told ET.

'She's got a good head on her shoulders. She's doing a great job. She's killing it.'

Three's a crowd? In January, she was pictured with her dad and Amber at a Stella McCartney event where Johnny performed with his band Hollywood Vampires. It's been claimed she and Amber did not get along

Amber, 30, filed for divorce from Johnny on Monday after just 15 months of marriage.

In her petition, she sought spousal support and it's believed the former couple did not have a pre-nuptial agreement when they wed in February 2015.

After the news broke on Wednesday, the Hollywood movie star responded by filing his own legal documents in which he asked the judge to deny the actress' request for spousal support.

On Thursday a rep for Johnny addressed the drama surrounding the end of his marriage, stating: 'Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life.'

Meanwhile, Amber's supporters have hit back at claims that Johnny's family 'hated' her.

Sources close to the Magic Mike XXL star denied any feud, saying the actress visited her ailing mother-in-law in hospital and got along well with Johnny's son Jack - although there was no comment about her relationship with Lily-Rose.
